I'm not entirely sure why you'd want to get rid of it. It looks pretty sweet in my opinion.

But other than artifacting from overheating, I can't think of anything that might make this happen. Sorry D:

40° is nothing. My GPU reports 42 or 43 at rest unless I kick the fan up. It's more likely a software issue somewhere.

Normally I leave my PC on overnight and let the CPU crunch for the benefit of mankind and all... but, after I experienced that, I decided the benefit of mankind was less important and left it off overnight...

The issue has mysteriously disappeared since then...
