All the characters are completely bisexual. No matter what gender, you have four potential romantic interests.

In my opinion, the Isabela female romance is the best. I love Merrill but I can't bring myself to romance her - she's like, my little sister or something.

What does this have to do with the topic of whether or not you can female-to-female romance anyone?

And any of the guys you can "bromance" - even Anders and Fenris, just don't click any romantic options. Besides, Varric/Hawke is about the poster child for platonic guy love.

I wouldn't like him if he wasn't creepy and insane.

There's just something about middle aged men with very few of their faculties left. It's like catnip. Of a very, very bad sort.

I'm pretty sure we invented the "Anders is a creepy stalker who steals your undergarmets to smell, wear and/or add to his disturbing love shrine, and he always loves you" thing. Because he wasn't enough of a creep on his own.
