This board has become a lot of DOOM and GLOOM.  It's become depressing.  For those of us who love the Dragon Age franchise, give us a sign of things to come.  That the negative backlash from very loud and very busy posters hasn't put one of my favorite franchises into the grave they think it deserves to be in with.  For those of us who like DA 2 just as much as DA: O, we just want a sign that there will be some kind of DLC or another Gaider novel.

Because this place has sucked the joy and fun out of the gaming experience.  It feels like people are mourning some imaginary thing they lost and the rest of us are just left to think: Is Bioware giving in to this?  I hope not.

What makes you think we hate the franchise, we wouldn't be vocal about all the problems the sequel had if we didn't like the series, boohoo bioware make them go away, please get over yourself, we don't like the game they plastered the logo on who cares, obviously not bioware

Try writing in complete sentences. Other than "get over yourself", I have no idea what you just wrote.

Personally, I just want to give voice to people who like the game. If you want to take that personally, fine.

I don't know. What about all those "I HATE BIOWARE THEY CAN GO TO HELL!" posts you see from people these days? I know, sadly bioware fans are a minority on BSN.

I don't why I immediately thought of that 90's song when I read the thread title. (i just had to go and listen to it thoughhh)

Anyway, I wouldn't worry yourself too much, op. The fact that they are even still working on patches should be a good enough sign.

I'm sorry I'm typing on my iPhone right now, let me clear it up for you.

Most people who are criticizing the game, don't hate the franchise and we don't want to see the series fail.

So what gives you the godlike power to know why we post criticizing posts?

You would do yourself a service if you did not start a thread to complain about people complaining about the way the franchise is going.

Is that good enough for ya, you pretentious $@*^

^^This.

Nor do most of us hate Bioware. Since the fiasco of DA2, I will wait a week or two when ME3 comes out, see some user reviews from both sides of the camp, then make a descision to buy it.

I bought DA2 on the laurels of DA:O, and sadly its a sub-par game with many of the new implimentions poorly done.

I don't hate bioware far from it.  They have made some of the greatest games in existance.  From Baldur's gate to KotOR to dragon age.  I just don't want bioware to go the path that so many other game designers have.  And that is make shovel ware shallow gaming experiences.

It's funny neppakyo posted in this thread. Because you can always count on him/her whenever there's something negative to say. Tell me how that is not trying to bury this franchise? There's a clear diffrerence in being disappointed in a game, and posting in every thread how much you think this game is a giant "turd".

Those of you offended by this post might want to think about those of us who LIKE the game having everything we say negated by certain posters in EVERY THREAD. I can only look at that as a number of things:

1) Your disappointment has consumed you to point being obsessively bitter

2) It's become "cool" to bash the game. Hey, someone mention the AWESOME BUTTON. We've only seen the joke....everywhere. It's sheep mentality.

3) You are the type of person who looks for flaws in everything.

Whatever the case, why must those of us who look at video games as an escape from the DOOM and GLOOM of our culture and want to come to a board to talk about playing a game they enjoy, have a horde of trollspawn flank you with their cynical bitterness.

I honestly don't understand why Bioware would WANT people to register their games here. This place has all of the joy of a cemetery. By this point, if you don't like the game and you're not going to buy any DLC or, as some of you have said, DA 3, when do you finally say to yourself, "There's more games out there."

And you still don't grasp the concept of why we post such "hurtful" things, we do not like being bashed by a company who tells us "oh our origins fans, you know the people that would be interested in this game, yeah screw them we don't need them, we have this new fanbase", by the way they didn't even reach those new fans they wanted, all they did was ****** off their core fanbase by insulting us repeatedly in their interviews because we didn't like the game. Did you ever stop to ponder on why there are more people who dislike the game than who really enjoy it, it's not hive mentality dip**** it's called being a pissed of costumer.

Hey, I enjoy The Witcher 1, and it has PLENTY of flaws. Somehow I am able to make it past that and keep playing it.

Maybe because imho it has a better story? The environments, NPCs, cities, and hell, the weather/day/night system have such detail to them? Starts to rain and the buggers leave to their houses, or huddle against a buildings walls.

Its the lack of attention to detail that also irks me about DA2.

Look for flaws in everything?  Naw, more like I expect a quality product for 60 bucks.   I don't like to settle for mediocrity.

LOL, it is funny since I can only see the reflexive defenders of the game in every thread. It truly is a matter of perspective.

Don't give up and don't let ANYONE ruin your enjoyment of this game. It is my favorite Bioware title atm and I'm in my sixth playthrough (Thank you, Patch 1.02) and having a wonderful time.

I too am looking forward to announcements from Bioware re: new content. And there will be some, that much is certain.

Don't let those who resort to namecalling ala "fanbros", "Biobots" and other such childish gibberish bog you down. Be proud of loving DAII. You have every right to be!:)

Yes he does have every right to be, thats not the problem, complaining about people who did not like the game was, if the poor bastard made one mistake it was to cross the people who like the franchise but hate the game by saying we are not fans, which was baseless. This was just another bioware brownnoser who didn't want his feelings hurt because other people didn't like the game and were saying why they didn't like it.

Orlesian accents? The Loghain fan within me is OUTRAGED!

But yes, threads like this make me sad. We've arrived at people feeling bad over enjoying a game. That sickens me.

The ratio of Anti-DA2 posters to "defenders" has got to be more like 70% to 30%. Maybe you pay more attention to the defenders, but there's definitely more negative posters on the forums at the moment. Well, on the general discussion forum anyway. I've noticed that most everyone who's actually enjoying the game sticks to the Companion forum. I should do that too.

Eh, don't let that ruin your fun. So what if many people hate it? I'm playing it at this very second (yay for the Steam browser) and my enjoyment isn't being diminished by the parade of hate and doom and gloom.

Hehe, ok ok, you can drop the accent, but the chaps remain!

I felt bad I couldn't enjoy the game and no recourse for reinbursment :(

@Zjarcal

you just informed everyone where to go!

Oh my, crossing the people who like the franchise but hate this game...that IS a deadly sin.

I don't care who is a fan or who is not.

But whoever has fans like that (The extremists, not those posting constructive criticism. Deny they exist, the extremists?) needs no enemies.

Reminds me of fanatics beating those who disagree with them into submission. And I've seen FAR more of that from the negative side.
