The thing is, Shepard is not neccessarily purely a hero. Renegades are usually better defined as 'anti-heroes.'

Here's another question, which is better, a scenario where humanity is the strongest (but no game content is presented whatsoever to varify this fact) or where humanity has strength and respect (but that is harped on in many places throughout the game)?
