If PC Gamers would not whine about DRM issues, then developers wouldn't have that attitude about PC Games.

If you dont understand what the DRM issue was then you should not comment on it. I would advice first go and read what the issue is. Understand the privacy concerns , why PC gamers are weary . More importantly why DRM is or is not an issue.

Just one quick question though .... do you have a PC :P

I have a PC. Husband builds them.   I use Steam to download my games.

I have no issues with DRM because we have NOTHING to hide.  If Steam wants to track me...I could care less.

I wonder how many people complaining about privacy issues have Facebook pages. ;)  You lose far more privacy on Facebook.

I refuse to use Facebook for that very reason.

Is nightmare on this game really that easy for you guys that play it consistently? I'm finding the hard to nightmare leap a lot more difficult in DA2 than in Origins; this now being my first all nightmare playthrough. The fact that most abilities now have FF and not just the mages really throws me for a loop sometimes; shield bash and mind blast to name a couple.

Enemy immunities are also a new challenge to deal with that wasn't in Origins. Qunari immune to fire and electricity? That means even if you bring both a primal and elemental mage to fight them both mages have half their spells that are useless as well as their preferred staff element.

I tore through nightmare on Origins; nothing really changed except you did less damage and you had to be mindful of where your team was when casting spells. DA2 throws more things at you for nightmare. I'm not used to archers and warriors being able to tear up the team with friendly fire. Maybe it will get easier once I'm used to it but it seems like DA2 gives a more tactical challenge with combat.

The thing is that NM in DA2 isn't that it's easy, it's that its dificulty comes due to its being frustrating. The waves and random spawing makes it impossible to properly position the characters, making avoiding friedly fire a chore rather than a challenge. Same with the marathon-ish zero-tactics bosses like the high dragon and the Arishok: they're not challenging nor difficult per se, just arduous.

So if we go by your logic , everything should be open and accessible for anyone ! right...

Let me ask you something.... I assume you and your family is honourable, respected and honest lot but would you appreciate a SURVEILLANCE camera inside your home from the police authorities ??? I doubt you would.

The point is simple, it is my pc, my info , you got damn have no right to spy on me and extract information without my knowledge of what exactly you are extracting.

Now another point is when did Single Player PC games became a platform of socializing ? Does the DRM gives you privacy options to set like FACEBOOK....

next time try a better analogy ! :P

Nobody is saying PC gaming will die, just that we will be doomed to afterthought console ports. Which has already
happened in fact. DA2 was made clearly with consoles in mind, and I doubt anyone would argue that.

No , we are not arguing that,it is already wide know fact that EA/Bioware targeted COD/GTA/Button-Mashing console guys...

However I would like to know why people forget about the games which are released only on PC ???? Like Witcher... CDProjeckt game...... anyone ?

Yeah, the point is piracy has kicked PC gamming to the sidelines, and consoles are now in the spotlight. Regarding Witcher, I can never really get into a RPG where I can't create my own character, specially in regards to gender.

it wasn't really hard but it was definitely frustrating to play on the 360 as a weapon + shield tank

playing as a mage on the PC was basically easy mode tho

Fair point on both the fronts, piracy is indeed bad and it is hurting but the measures the companies are taking is even more pushing people to pirate stuff...

DRMs, mechanisms to remotely banning people from playing their own legit copy of games, etc etc etc

as far as witcher.... well after being successfull with 1st one ( ofcourse after enhancing it ) they are trying to expand their base and porting the game to console... I sure hope they dont dumb down the game... so far from what I have seen I am comfortable unlike what happened with DA2 which right from the start was making many weary.

The game is not going to be ported to console on release. Console port was in mind during development of the game and engine, but it's going to remain PC exclusive on release.

Witcher 2 port to consoles is coming, it's been all but confirmed. It is, however, as Anathemic said, going to be PC first for a while.

I lost what bearing this all had on the topic, however.

I wouldn't go as far to as saying it being confirmed. From what has been said by CD Projekt RED, they would like to have it on consoles, but PC is first priority at the moment.
