I just bought a hard copy of DA:O, Ultimate Edition, and when I go to install it I get the error message in the title. This occurs after it gets stuck extracting at 15.7%. I cannot seem to find the issue anymore, but if I have missed it I appologize for the redundant post. I would greatly appreciate any help as I'm eager to play DA:O after beating and loving DA2.
My specs:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
AMD Phenom 9850 Quad -Core (Black Edition)
4GB RAM
Radeon 5550 by Asus
The installation of Dragon Age: Origins has failed.

I had the same problem. What solved it for me was doing the following:
- Copy everything from Disc 1 into a temporary folder on your hard drive.
- Copy all the contents of the data folder on Disc 2 into the data folder in your temporary Dragon Age folder.
- Run the installer from your hard drive.
