It has a chance to enslave property on it.
I'll try find out which one it is
It's the glandivalis - a longsword actually. It gives you a 2.5% chance to enslave normal enemies. There might be more, but i'm not too sure. Never really used that property myself

I have been thinking that what good is that having that low of a % of it happening? Say like e.g the sword takes 5 hits to kill an someone and say you hit them 3 times and the 4 time does it . Then you just end up with a helper one hit away from death. Unless you can heal them with a spell . But i dont think you can huh?
Probably not. Once I get specced into a blood mage maybe i'll be able to test it but I doubt it'll work. Maybe someone else knows?
But yeah, I really don't think that enslavement should be a major part of your strategy - more like, if it happens then yay, a free meat shield sort of thing. Because most of the enemies you fight will be really easy to kill - so what use is their help anyway? And i'm not sure about this but the chance probably would be further reduced/impossible against bosses and lieutenants..
What I wonder (if anyone is going to test the healing of blood slaves) is whether you can spirit bomb them - like that tactic from origins, where you sent an infected blood-controlled enemy at his friends (so they all blew up)

Hm I suppose. Do you know how much damage blood splatter does though? It's not specified and I haven't got to the stage where I can try it out (cbf repeccing one of my old mage playthroughs).
What could be potentially very amusing is virulent walking bomb followed by upgraded blood slave. If all works to plan you'll have an enemy running back to his friends to blow everyone up!
