nope i don't think so. The only other possible way is to use one of the swords
It has a chance to enslave property on it.
I'll try find out which one it is

It's the glandivalis - a longsword actually. It gives you a 2.5% chance to enslave normal enemies. There might be more, but i'm not too sure. Never really used that property myself

I have been thinking that what good is that having that low of a % of it happening? Say like e.g the sword takes 5 hits to kill an someone and say you hit them 3 times and the 4 time does it . Then you just end up with a helper one hit away from death. Unless you can heal them with a spell . But i dont think you can huh?

Probably not. Once I get specced into a blood mage maybe i'll be able to test it but I doubt it'll work. Maybe someone else knows?

But yeah, I really don't think that enslavement should be a major part of your strategy - more like, if it happens then yay, a free meat shield sort of thing. Because most of the enemies you fight will be really easy to kill - so what use is their help anyway? And i'm not sure about this but the chance probably would be further reduced/impossible against bosses and lieutenants..

What I wonder (if anyone is going to test the healing of blood slaves) is whether you can spirit bomb them - like that tactic from origins, where you sent an infected blood-controlled enemy at his friends (so they all blew up)

Hm I suppose. Do you know how much damage blood splatter does though? It's not specified and I haven't got to the stage where I can try it out (cbf repeccing one of my old mage playthroughs).

What could be potentially very amusing is virulent walking bomb followed by upgraded blood slave. If all works to plan you'll have an enemy running back to his friends to blow everyone up!

well i wasnt actually think of adding into my statagy . i just thought it was a cool spell and wanted to play around with it . Like take control of some of the quanarri in the keep would be fun . . And the running back to the party to blow up . Putting it like allister would say it . Ya running back is bad. lol. But at least there is no friendly fire on casual mode . I just get pissed playing on any other setting because of the waves of paratrooping ninja. So the blood slave is like walking bomb then? And i was just wondering who was doing that spell during the end game battle? That why i thought you could get it .. Orsino or whatever his name is was probably the one doing it huh?

it's really short the duration though, I can't say how much damage it does , I only got the upgrade at endgame..

Just a note here about Glandivalis. It actually procs quite often (or rather more often that I'd personally like). I remember rushing elites (templar lieutenants, mage hunters, arcane horrors etc) trying to finish them off quickly, only to have my party all of a sudden stop, because the enemy turned into a friendly NPC. At first, I've forgotten about the property and thought it was a bug :P All in all, it's a mixed blessing, since you have no real control on the proc (or its expiration). Sometimes it helps, sometimes it gets in the way of your strategy.
