The best inventory is no inventory. Good job Bioware.
No RPG fan would ever say that. Obvious you're that "new breed" of BioWare fan us rpgers must tolerate

ME1's inventory was HORRIBLE! I rather have no inventory than that crap again.

From Investopedia:
What Does Inventory Mean?
The raw materials, work-in-process goods and completely finished goods that are considered to be the portion of a business's assets that are ready or will be ready for sale. Inventory represents one of the most important assets that most businesses possess, because the turnover of inventory represents one of the primary sources of revenue generation and subsequent earnings for the company's shareholders/owners.
I'm kinda glad Shep doesn't have an Inventory

It is dumb to say to someone that it is his opinion?
It looks like you'll get sulky if I post the pic. Would you rather have a video?

Seriously though, did ANYONE enjoy the pointless "+5% to stat" bonuses in ME1? I mean, I love crunching numbers as much as the next guy, but please give me transparent, simple, and useful ones. Don't sell me a shooter where I have to sit down and allocate a bunch of points to a bunch of useless skills that only give me a few small, incremental numbers to work with.
ME2 did it right, to an extent. Make each increase more powerful and more transparent. If I put some points into Biotic Charge as a Vanguard, I can easily see the increase in power. Upgrading the power gives me back my shield and puts more force into the charge, and this is corroborated by the fact that you CAN see the effects of the upgrade.
I'm a dungeon master for my D&D group and, to be honest, the combat lends itself to being very "meta" and very number intensive, but the numbers never really get to the point where the tedium surpasses the amount of fun I'm having. Some here may have enjoyed the pointless skills in ME1 and hated the change to the "streamlined" skills that they got in ME2, but really, does it matter? It's a shooter with RPG elements, and sitting down, pouring over every little number and trying to min/max your "build" isn't really all that important. There are plenty of other RPGs out there that will satisfy your insatiable need to manage a bunch of stats as closely as possible.

As an RPG fan I resent your one-dimensional interpretation of what I want. I have an inventory of weapons that I set before I go out on mission. I have an inventory of armor maintained in my cabin. These things make sense in this universe. All of the weapons have points that they're attached to. My armor is too big to lug a second or third set around with me all day. I'm not walking around in the wilderness like in a fantasy RPG so I don't need to be a human pack mule.
EDIT: I'm definitely NOT a new breed of RPG'er.

Yep...no inventory. Instead, we get to pick guns up like call of duty. It's bullcrap.
