To defeat your mirror images in the Gauntlet, instead of trying to kill them in the room, go out into the corridor...you can then take on one at a time with your party companions.

AW is just ridiculous in the expansion there is so much spell resistance gear and dodge stuff that by the end you can max out both stats and be just unstoppable you get new spells and new levels and new specializations. Though honestly I dunno if it is worth the 40 bucks the story is interesting but it's pretty buggy. And game play just falls apart, there is no need for strategy because you've just become too powerful, who needs a tank when you have 100% spell immunity and 100% dodge meanwhile your still throwing out spells and AOEs like it's no bodies business all the classes are pretty much the same in this respect so overpowered compared to your enemies, so with the exception of the last fight it's kinda a walk through the park.

Hey guys.. ive gone through the game already but just started again as an Elf in Alienage. In the Arls castle at the begining you find some cleaner, mug of Brandy, bottle of Brandy and some rat poison but have no idea what to do with them as i cant find a way to use them. any ideas anyone?

I have a complaint, which I'm wondering if anyone else is having trouble with too. I have both Origins and Awakening installed, and am not having any real technical problems. What is driving me crazy is I alternate between playing both games, and lately playing Origins I find that just about every thing I loot has Lyrium. I don't mean occasional Lyrium, I mean tons of lyrium. What's the deal? What happened to Origins after the patch and Awakenings that cause the Lyrium overflow? I've just about stopped opening chests, or looting corpses because most of them have, yes, Lyrium.



What's really weird is that the dragonlings also carry Lyrium. Did someone go crazy at Bioware, and decide we needed gallons of the stuff? I can't figure it out, but i'd sure like an answer.

Since this is a thread concerning gameplay, I'm assuming a general two-cents' worth sort of comment should be okay and here's mine - is it me or does Awakenings feel a bit too much like a Mass Effect in medieval setting? I don't mean the story or fighting but the interaction between characters just lacks any decent depth - until you're prompted by some plot-related issue, whenever you talk to them, they just give some silly one-liners like "now's not the time to talk, commander" and a pre-determined junctures, any two of your companions will just go off on their own conversation. In Da:O, there was character interaction that went beyond that - I particularly found Shale entertaining for some reason.



Next, is it me or is the storyline's kinda one tracked and relatively predictable?



Overall, perhaps the bar was set really high with Da:O and along with it, my expectation, but I finished the game twice and still found myself somewhat...less satisfied. Am I the only one here feeling this way?

I'll just vent on two things about the expansion, when fighting the Pride demon in awakenings, it spams the frost blasts and also keeps me frozen after a frost blast/flame blast combo, so if you're reading this bioware fix this in a patch. Also awakenings has crashed several times in the midst of combat, not too irritating except for the aforementioned Pride demon battle. Since I am too lazy to replay the Mage tower does the frost blast still freeze you after getting hit with a frost then fire combo?

Erm. I don't remember anything remarkable about that fight. Surely it's no different from dozens of fights like it that you've done before. If you're a low level (<10) I recommend leaving that area for later, though. Try the Circle Tower, Redcliffe, or Brecilian Forest, instead.

hi im new to dragon age; origins, which ive got on xbox 360, im stuck in lost in dreams, ive killed three of the demons and i cannot get past the reinforced doors on the other islands, ive tried shifting to a golem and tried breaking the doors but it is not working can some reply to this please thanks

Hi, I need help getting to the Whitefang Werewolf in the ruins in the centre of the forest next to the Dalvish Elves village. I managed to slay the dragon, the skeletons but I got to the point (quite deep in the ruins) where I need to fight a horde of werewolves and they keep killing me... My main character is a mage accompanied by Moragan and Alistar. I tried all the different things.. but still when I get to the point when I've got only 2 werewolves left the other keep appearing... how do I deal with it? I am new to the game (got addicted 2 days ago) but cannot move forward without slaying those werewolves... PLEASE HELP!

Hi guys. Need some help... Back when I was stoopid having just started the game I sold my Blood Dragon breastplate... In Lothering. On clicked about 6 levels & a good few hours later that it might be usefull. Tried to get it back, but hey Lothering got wasted! Can any1 help or am I toasted by my own daftness?

What is the thing that Morrigan offers at the end "Witch Hunt" with that
book she stole? Not the book itself but the "gift", the "something
you'll find of great interest". She implies she leaves something else
for your character with it. Something that, my guess is, should be a
relevant tidbit of information to the plot. However, because the game
autosaves and then rolls credits immediately after that cutscene ends it
is impossible to discover what the other thing is she left for you. Am I
making a wrong assumption here or is there something key that is
actually missing, and if so then what is it?

Playing DA: O and I'm in the courtyard in Redcliff Castle and have yet to beat the Revenant. Should Ser Perth be on the other side of the gate? Ser Perth died in the battle the previous nite. How do I do battle without the help of the other fighers? I am an elf Rouge and have Sten, Alistair, and Morrigan with me.

My approach so far:

I mostly play as Morrigan throwing a vulnerability hex on the Revenant and then drain life. After that I use her to heal the others who are set to attack the Revenant.

I have tried picking off the archers and other montsers with the Rouge in stealth mode but dose not work for long.

HELP!!! I am stuck in the erls home in Denerum. I have been to the rescue the Queen and tried both ways from there. I killed all the crazy womans troops in the entryway in the castle after the dungeon trip and getting the Queen out of her room and then I tried just surdreing. Either way I do not get the Elves camp to open on the may of Denerum. I show the quest in my folder and cannot find anything else to do. How do I trip the switch for the Elven Encampment?

This is driving one OLD man nuts. Thanks and please excuse the spelling.

I have a problem playing Awakening all the time, the other mods it happens sometimes(mostly)
1 - the monsters will run stop and stand, i can walk up to them and just keep pounding them until they are dead and they do not move or protect themselves much less attack.
2 - my partners do not move or fight t, when i move they move, but in a fight they just stand there doing nothing, so i am the one that has to do all the fighting or keep switchin to them if i want them to use magic or other abilities that my character does not have.
my question is this, does this have anything to do with me not having finished origins yet? or is there an update for awakening that i need to get in order for things to work right?
thanks for any help, it's frustrating just standing there hitting monsters and they just let u, also they recoup their health fairly fast, a lot faster then normal.

1. In Quest Broken Circle I can recruted Blood Mages, then I can not find anywhere. Where is she?
2. How can Anora die? Is it possible to rule alone? (Iam female noble, marry with alistiar, but alistiar died in fight with arcideamon.) But Queen is still Anora.
