Isn't the stated reason that they didn't have the budget to do the additional assets required so rather than have less content they re-used the maps to include all the content they wanted to. I'd rather they did this than cut the content. Of course in a perfect world I'd rather they had the addiitional assets.
The majority of the content was those stupid filler quests. I'd rather have less of those and more variation.
Actually, I want a city like in the witcher series, you know, NPC's that react, and don't just stand there in the same spot 24/7.
In TW1, I followed a dwarf merchant from his home, which was about half or more across the map, walking to his stall. Now that's pretty darned impressive imho.
