WoG can say the sky is purple for all I care. Ray, Greg, and Casey don't really concern themselves with the story and lore.

The sky in the ME world? Yes they'd be right because they control that world.

The sky outside? They'd be wrong.

So if Casey Hudson says that Liara is green, she's green then?

Yes she would be green. I would then expect her to be green in the next game to influence the retcon.

Ok, Ryz and Mak, if Asari are not female, what are they then?

Don't know. But it's not female. :wizard: Not male either.

Ooh sheits is perfect. <3

...so...not Male, not Female, that only leaves Hermaphrodite and Androgyny.

Ryz and Mak, destiny's couple you are..
Play ME1 again, the sex scenes with the consort on the citadel and the one with Liara clearly indicates they are female.

Can we all agree that it's an excuse to allow lesbian titilation while excluding "officially" homosexual romances? So they can call it fair?

Call it fair? *Superseriousangryface*

No it doesn't.

It indicates that they are female looking. Which was aways WoGs stance.

Which makes them basically female to a human. Even FemShep regards Liara as a woman. She can back out of teh relationship solely for that reason.

Indeed. But it doesn't count as them being female.

They just look it. So FemShep regarding Liara as a woman is just wrong. (Not to mention Liara's not human  ) It's emotional and not logical.

In order for Asari to reproduce sexually and give live birth they would need to be biologically female. If you believe otherwise, you are objectively wrong.

Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh, you touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding. There are more things in heaven and earth, , Than are dreamt of in your philosophy  In the end what you call them is irrelevant. They simply are.

Femshep's attraction is absolutely lesbian on her part. Femshep can be a lesbian.

Well, they are not Hermaphrodites and they are not Androgynous.
Which leaves male of female, they are clearly not male.

Out of curiousity, why are you so hellbent on making Asari into some genederless alien?

Because they aren't female.

They do have a gender.

I want the devs to tell us what it is. Since it's not male or female.

Liara is an asari, which is a MONO (One) Gendered species. That gender, or sex, is a female. Not an it,not a hermaphrodite, etc. She is a female

They way pretty much every fictional series has ever worked, ever > random forum goes opinion.

CHud was the Exe produced.  That means he had final say on ALL ME romances and if when they got cut.   So he'd know if there were samesex ones. Sorry.

Ask the writers and then come back to me. If they agree, I'll accept it.

As it stands, Ray, Greg, and Casey are not up to answering such lore questions. They're making cheap excuses and nothing more. That's all they were concerned about when answering.

The evidence that they are female during the games is pretty overwhelming.
If they werent female, most males wouldnt have an unhealthy obsession with them..
If they were some kinda blue Futuma, I think that woulda been common knowledge and most males woulda avoided them like a plague.
The devs stating something in an interview that barely a fraction of the players will ever see, dosn't make it canon.
Until Bioware makes an official post on forums or changes the codex in the games to reflect this, they are as stated in the ME1 & 2 Codex, Female.

Then End.

Uh...no. They don't have to be females to *look* like females. And everyman who walked into a trap can tell you it doesn't have to be a female for you to mistake it for one.

They're a gender. But it's not female.

Wow go away for 3 minutes and the forum goes crazy. For all intents a purposes she is a female. Walks like a duck, talks like a duck, I dont think its going to be a falcon. She has breats, she has very femine features, she has a female voice. So I will say she is a girl. You guys can go crazy trying to figure the rest out :P
