They seem to be the only race this side of the Qunari that are lacking a female counterpart. The Qunari is explainable that the women aren't fighters that are in Kirkwall, but where are the dwarven ladies? Was there ever going to be any in DA2? Or were they some of the things that got cut, like that fat human render?

Its odd, because we had plenty of Dwarf women in Origins, even some on the surface. So it isn't like its uncommon, it just isn't in the game for some reason.

Yeah, that bugs me. I played a female dwarf in my favorite DA:O playthrough, so I got used to seeing one all the time and now there aren't any. There are enough dwarves in Kirkwall that it seems likely there would be some dwarven families about, so there should be some dwarven women. I wonder if Varric is lampshading the complete lack of dwarven women when he says that the bar needs some cute dwarven serving girls.

What DA2 needs to combat the broody boys.

She tries to behave. Honestly she does.

taking the time to modify DA:O female dwarf models to DA2's engine..just didn't fit in with their "hit-a-button-awesome-happens-in-our-3-different-recycled-areas" vision they had for DA2.

They're hiding with the turian and the salarian women. AKA budget/time/whatever didn't allow them to be modelled just for ambient use, I guess.

there aren't that many dwarves as it is. all of them seem to hang out in the merchant quarter, are carta members, or parts of quests like Anso. So I guess the female dwarves don't fit into those roles.

I <3 Sigrun.

Seriously, the lack of Dwarf ladies is probably my biggest complaint about DA2 hah. Went from having my main DAO playthrough being a female Dwarf Noble (who later took Sigrun everywhere with her) to having nadda.

I miss her. I have played Awakening again noticing the lack of female dwarves to liven up the place in their own unique ways.

They are with the female Qunari, the Halla and the speed griffons.

I tried explaining that to Jarvia, but she still attacked me.

now that I think of it, I did hear a girly scream when I killed a carta member. So maybe it was a female dwarf, but I couldn't see the face because he/she was wearing a mask.

They're still in game, if you know where to look. Hidden in Isabela's corset, hiding in crates. The Arishok is in fact two lady dwarves in a qunari costume, you know. True story.

They are probably still trying to fix the strange arm length of the female dwarves. I really love my little casteless warrior but sometimes it really irritated me. Without the bulky torso of the males, they somehow looked like apes. Posted ImagePosted Image

You know, the dwarves in Arcanum would beat the crap out of you just for asking that question. It seems to be kind of a touchy subject there.

But yeah, I would have liked to see some female dwarves in DA2. And really, how long do I have to wait for my female-dwarf-romance option!? Dragon Age is the first video game I played that managed to make female dwarves not only badass, but also sexy.

. . . Stop looking at me like that. Don't judge me! :crying:

Edit:

It is. . . almost disturbing how much sense that makes to me.

If she was a female, you could tell that without seeing her face. Dwarf girls are kind of blatant about it.

My female dwarf rogue makes a really weird sort of roaring sound when she uses her Bard Songs. I mean it's umm wow.

For myself, I prefer Felsi as a Dwarven spitfire; major reason is here:

Impossible, there are no dwarf females at all in the game files.
If you look for morph entries that begin with df (for dwarf female) you'll find none.
