Can anyone tell me how to download the 1.02b patch to my console?
#179
Posté 24 février 2010 - 10:06
The 1.02b patch is only available on the PC, but you cannot "download" patches on the consoles. They will automatically download and install on your console cache if you put in the game and you are on xbox live or playstation network.

My male human noble chose to marry anora and she went invisible during the end scene. During the epilogue did not remarry even though she announced it to all of Fereldan! That's gonna be annoying.

So now we have two different reports. One saying dexterity is fixed and the other saying it's not.
Why is it so hard for Bioware to release a fix list or tell us the important ones? Has dexterity been fixed?

Last week the PS3 got an update. If you read the patch notes for that update you will see that it is almost the same as the patch notes for the 103 patch. The patch that the PS3 recieved did not have the dex fix. So it is more then likely that Bio just lumped the 360 in with the PC patch notes.
PS3 patch notes from last week:
- Various changes have been made to code and resources to support the Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening expansion pack.
-
At higher levels, non-player characters now receive a bonus to armor
penetration. This mitigates an unintentional imbalance with
well-armored high-level characters, since armor penetration previously
did not scale as aggressively as armor itself did.
-
Elite-rank enemies (lieutenants) can no longer be shattered. This
preserves the intended tactical design of many combat encounters.
- Portraits for summoned creatures were displaying improperly while in the party camp. This no longer occurs.
PC and 360 patch notes:
Various changes
have been made to code and resources to support the Dragon Age: Origins
- Awakening expansion pack. Most of these changes do not affect Origins
itself.
Some players were experiencing increasingly long load times. A major cause of this problem has been fixed.

[/list]Now within the 103 patch release thread it was mentioned that the 103 patch includes fixes from the 102 patch. But I'm guessing that statement just applies to the pc users. Only time will tell since there is no update to download from Xbox Live. But I wouldn't get your hopes up.

What does "lumped" mean. Why doesn't Bioware just respond?

This is my biggest problem with them, they NEVER respond on these issues.
A few days ago when the awakening Q&A session was going on I went into the thread and politely asked (begged) the DEV's for any info about the dex bug etc. for us XBOX users. Just so we know something, anything really. Even though multiple DEV's were actively responding in that very thread at that time, they still made no attempt whatsoever to respond to my plea. Not even a NO, it wont get fixed.
I absolutely love this game but this type of customer service is not at all satisfactory and until it changes I will not be getting Awakening or any other of the DLC coming out. As much as I love the game and Bioware in general, being treated as 2nd class citizens is just not acceptable.

I'm unsure if this is the place to put it, but how do you delete an old character on the Xbox 360 DAO?

@ Drifter Kal:
You have to go out to your 360 settings and manually delete the saves from memory on the 360.

It was Q&A for Awakening, not Origins. They were probably informed not to discuss or answer any questions regarding Origins.

I recognize that possibility but I've asked numerous times in different threads and its still the same, they just post around the question.

My shield Fades wall is always turning backwards on my back in Awakening. Everytime i talk to someone it switches around and then when i go to pull it out for combat it stays on my back. Very wierd.
Also the AW still has that wierd eye problem with combat magic, i was hoping Bioware would have fixed this in the expansion.

I am finding that near the end of the game and especially fighting the Archdemon my controls will not respond or there is a definite delay of several seconds. No I don't button mash. I have lost many battles because of this. I thought it was my 360 or controllers but all 7 of my controllers do the same. I have talked to a few others who noticed the same problem.
As a result I can't finish Origins. Everytime I try, I fail as my controls won't stop responding. I have contacted Xbox support already and after a few tests and troubleshooting the hardware checks out.
I had 1 other game that did the same but was fixed with a patch.
I am considering restarting the entire game. Just for fun. lol.

Um..ok.. This might not be the right thread to ask this, but I've asked around everywhere (and yes, on xbox.com too), and I can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone..!
The thing is that I've downloaded Dragon Age Awakening from the Xbox 360 LIVE Marketplace, but as I was gonna register the game I can't seem to find the frickin' registration key..! Anyone know where to find it..?
And sorry once again for asking this question here, I do realise this is a question to ask the support on xbox.com, but as I said I haven't gotten an answer from them and I asked about this days ago. I figured maybe someone here has also downloaded Awakening at the Marketplace and registered it here..?
Cheers
