Seems like after act 2 the game went into Super rush mode to the end. I mean, I find it kinda stupid that you find this little peice of the Idol during the deeproads expedition, and then deal with it with Varrics brother.
You then run into another peice again when you do the haunted quest... but what makes no sense is by the end, the Templar chick has a full sword of this stuff, and you are never ever told anything about it, other then it drives you insane.
Its like Bioware was like "Oh ****, this game needs to be done how soon", and half assed the last portion of the game. Very dissapointed in how this game ended. It felt like one huge grind to the last boss, and then the credits rolled. Act 1 was awsome and sucked me in, act 2 felt kinda short but it still kept me interested. Act 3 was a big mes and I felt like, jesus I just wanna get this over with.

Give me a L!!!!
Give me a C!!!!
What does that spell?
DLC!!!!!
But wait, it wont be the first DLC! Oh no. It will be the final DLC that will "Tie all the loose ends that DA2 has and lead us to DA3"
Sounds familiar?

What was her point? Just like having Isabela, and Anders, and Merrill, just like with the Nathaniel and Zevran and Alistair cameos, her point was "hey people, this game has something to do with DAO!!!"

Regarding the ending, the lyrium idol was not fully explained, but that doesn't mean it never will be explained. And it was foreshadowed. Bartrand mentioned he sold it to a woman. If you look closely at Meredith's sword, you can see the face of the idol in the pommel. It shouldn't have come as a complete shock. You had to know that thing was going to come back in some way shape or form.
Actually, just about everything in the ending was foreshadowed to some extent or another. Be it in party banters, side quests, or elsewhere, very little came out of nowhere.

Over in the Anders thread, I believe Flemeth's just been declared DA's Ocelot. Make of that what you will.
Flemeth is a gay cowboy?
IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW!

She's going to be the annoying expositor in DA3 while making stupid hand gestures?

Harry Potter is an example of what happens to a circle with no templars. One maleficar and the whole thing falls apart.

It's true. Liches were invented by WoW. They are kings and wield giant swords.

I've watched a few of the movies with my niece and have wondered when the Templars would come in and invoke the Right of Annulment.
