I want to ride off into the... well technically sunset, and have lotsa little blue babies. After saving the galaxy from the biggest threat in the last 50,000 years.
If Shepard dies at the end of ME3 will you be ok with that ?

No, I will not be okay with that.
I hate stories that end with "okay, it's the last one, so let's kill everyone just because we can".
And it doesn't make much sense, because ME2 introduced the "open ending" savegame system, so we can play DLC after we finish the main game.
If they want to repeat that with ME3, they can't kill Shepherd and the squadmates.

Yup. I definitely will be ok with that, as long as it's done in a proper manner.

I'll let Sten answer for me...
If it's rushed or forced...

If it's done well, it's an epic ending worty of an epic hero and it's believable...

possibility of dying? yeah absolutely.
dying no matter what? no. thats become cliched and lame.
personally i want a wide range of endings, it'd really kill replayability if he ALWAYS died.

actually. wait.
isnt it pretty much confirmed that you can live through the story? since when asked about new game plus they mentioned it'd be like ME1 and 2, where you can replay the game or you can keep playing after you beat it and finish more stuff like sidequests.
cant really keep playing if you're dead right?
