this never happened to me before.

just started an NG+ run, I am about to pick up the Grenade launcher....I do so but the game keeps displaying "press A to pick up the grenade launcher even if it is already on my back....I am utterly unable to go forward from that point......

help anyone? 

Edit......now I cannot even progress past Freedom's progress on a normal ME1 import, the game gets stuck after the first wave of drones

FFS Bioware what is this ****? I am now COMPLETELY unable to play ME2 after buying one of your DLCs

You might have to delete the saves you have and start all over again. It sounds like coruppted save.

importing a ME1 character works fine..... god dammit.....

yes it's definitely an NG+ issue

FFS anyone have a solution?

Not much of a solution but it is still early in the game; is it really that unviable to import your ME2 character again?

Sorry, you hadn't mentioned that when I first read your post. Technically you can still import but your progress is still impeded, but that's a quibble on my part.

Something sounds glitched though. I think you still have to do Lazarus Station like the original tutorial, i.e. without all your upgrades from the original game.

One possibility I can think of, though I'm not certain it would work, is to remove Arrival, import again; play past that section you find glitched then reinstall Arrival.

Have you tried clearing the cache out to see if that helps?

as long as I can import in ME3 I am peachy

I cleared the cache and Arrival....nothing. I cannot even play as an imported ME1 character since the game bugs out on Freedom's progress after the first drone attack sequence. Hell I play on consoles to AVOID this BS....Bioware please help

If you are still having problems that our collective suggestions cannot resolve then the only recourse would be to contact EA support.

These may be the official forums but unfortunately they can be misleadingly named (they got it right with Dragon Age 2 mind you) as there is no official support. Hopefully EA support will have a working solution for you.

I just got off the phone with them...

their best suggestion was to wipe out all my ME2 data and start from scratch

not happening unless all my import-worthy files are corrupted

Would you have a spare USB key to transfer your saves to? (Keep your data just in case.)

Come to think of it, did they mention that it was an autosaving corruption? I read somewhere from another member that they had to delete the autosave by transferring the files to the PC. Not sure where that thread is though having 'said' that.

I can always use a Memory Card for that and yes I was told about the autosaves...I am trying that next

well then AFTER removing all my character files (saved on a memory card) I was ablw to run a new ME1 import career (I just finished the first 2 recruitment missions last night)

It sucks SOOOOO hard

I'll make this another canon playthrough and pick up an AR on the collector ship but the corruption MUST have come from Arrival. I am curious to see if the problem will affect this career as well in subsequent NG+ attempts.

I stumbled upon a fellow with the same issue he said the problem was confined to only one career

ok after wiping out ALL my ME2 data NG+ works again but I had to do a new canon playthrough
