I am already in act 3 and still very low onmoney. I have spent my money on upgrade tomes, elixirs and potions and very few on weapons and armor.
Is there a way to make lots of money in Dragonage 2?

You could try the "money making guide" on the top of this forum:
http://social.biowar...8/index/6741488

But generally doing all the side-quests (e.g. cleaning up streets) as well as selling unneeded weapons, armour, accessories and potions will get you pretty loaded.
But there only is so much money in the game - so if you buy too many of those 100+g items i'm pretty sure you're out of luck.

Make sure to check every box, crate, etc. for garbage- some items are returnable to certain people. Act One is loaded with those that are mini-quests just to return items. In act 3 go to places at night. Kill every group you find, and you will eventually get a secret hideout for each group. Crush them, in effect, completely cleaning up the streets. It's monotonous, but I made a KILLING (no pun intended.)
In all 3 plays I have had over 4000 Sovereigns and made max level. The X-Box version seems easy to gather Exp and cash.

Don't get discouraged, he meant to type four hundred, surely. :)

And cleaning up the streets at night works in every act!

and max level? I'm pretty sure that it's a little tough to reach level 50 - even on xbox. haha

Thx but the point is that I am already doing most of the things you suggest (exept for selling unneeded weapons and armor). I haven't bought any 100+ item and I already have items better than the ones you can buy. But there are some nice elixirs which give extra upgrade point in the Black Emporium, which I cannot afford. I suppose I could just clear all the street at nights again and again and sell some more stuff. So much for a partner in a mining company, all you get is trouble (killing dragons) hahaha

That's part of it. I sell everything I don't need. Why would you keep that?

EDIT: Level 50 is a lie! :)

Maybe he's keeping a collection? I've kept all my unneeded potions. So far i've collected 42 health, 28 lyrium, 31 stamina, 35 injury kits. This is at the end of act 1. I wonder how many i'll have by the end of the game? haha

If you are playing on PC, there is an exploit. (Similar to the unlimited XP/gold exploit for consoles.)

you can earn 4x the gold from each fetch quest by lining up all 4 party members in a tight circle around the person who gives the reward.

Then pause the game and have each party member click on the person. you get 4x the gold and 4x the XP.

Confirmed in Patch 1.02. I think it is on the list of items to be fixed for Patch 1.03

btw, not completely relevant to this thread (I can't be bothered making a new one) but how do people manage to reach level 13 by the deep roads?

I'm pretty sure that I did every quest and sidequest (including all those useless returning items quests), found every resource and pretty much did everything (am a bit of an ocd completionist) yet am still only a high level 12 before the ARW. This wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for the way that the abilities I wanted to try out on it are locked to level 13!! The only explanation I can think of is maybe if less waves spawn if you if you kill the boss faster? and less waves = less kills = less xp? I guess I'll just have to use a less efficient version of my idea for now and see if it works before raging about the unfairness of it all

edit: no matter - profane are somehow immune to pull of the abyss and as such my plan fails no matter what my level. Looks like it's going to be a bit of the good old running around, dodging the friggin' rock ball
I still wouldn't mind finding out how some people are level 13 before the dragon though..

Yes. Tested and proven. It's a bit silly, but there it is.
