is it possible to go from 50 to 60 on the second playthrough of a character, with all DLC?

Yes. Kill on foot as much as possible(get out of mako). Also there is a cheat, if you don;t ind cheating at least on the PC. When you get Liara as soon as you activate the mining laser save. You can reload and save repeatedly each time getting the XP for the event. You wont need it if you kill most things on foot, and do everything, but it is a nice way to make sure if you are paranoid.

I think it is worth it.  My 60 save had a unwanted Ashley romance, my liara romance was 45.  I notice the difference in the begining starting with 6 points instead of 10.  I just feel gimped.

You can reload and save repeatedly each time getting the XP for the event.

Or you could call a spade a spade and use givexp. Or edit the game config to set the Mako XP multiplier to 100.
Edit: Sorry, probably should have checked the posting time first

Did my 60 char without cheating, just started from a lvl 54 char and didn't even perform a full playthrough (I didn't get most minerals/gas/medaillons/matriarch writtings). Of course I worried a bit when entering Saren's base on Virmire on level 59 with 80k points to go for level 60, but I reached it.
I think it's not difficult if the char you import to go for a lvl60 char is already high enough. But... it wasn't on Insanity...

You never know when things like that will bug the save.  My way is about as safe as possible.  And the fact of the matter is who cares if someone cheats in a single player game.  And even if someone does care, there are plenty of decent reaosns to do so.  Lost hard drives is in the end why I looked for it, I didn't want to have to do a 3rd playthrough in order to get to 60 before ME2 came out when I had already done it, but lost it on my old drive.

i bet you 20 bucks you wont get to level 60 from level 50. 59-60 is 1/3 of a completionist playthrough alone. not to mention the other 9 levels you have to gain.

youll end no higher then level 59, i guarantee it.

If you do EVERYTHING on foot you probably can.  But yes cheat pad it IMO, an entire playthroguh to get 1 level would be a pain in the ass.  Now if you know in advance you wont do it, you blow through this playthrough and then the next playthrough is your "complete" playthrough.

I did that only once, and I never wanted to do it again. Reluctantly my brothers traded it in, so I never gotten the chance to do another play through. I also ended up switching to PS3, so I lost out big time anyway.

If you are really close to 60 but not quite there yet, and you know the planets you need to visit for carry over sidequests then you can blow through ME1 in around 6-8 hours in a completionist level 60 run. The main things to remember is you don't have to kill everything on planets once you hit 60 because you don't get XP anymore. So you can skip fights, ignore enemies while in Mako on both Feros and Noveria, blast with the mako cannon to shorten fights and drive straight to locations because you don't need the misc loot to fill out your gear. I have done this several times so I know that it can be done, hit 60 and then do what is needed to get the save you want. So honestly doing two speed runs would probably be a bit faster than doing a ground pounding competionist run fighting everything and anything.

exactly. no matter what, if you a power gamer, your going to do three runs just to get the 24 free charm/intim points anyways so why not just do that. the first two runs kindof suck because they arent really true runs, but that third run is very satisfying.
