you're right, even though Thane's "are you well" is deflected by Shepard. Liara's was more like Jacob's where he asks Shepard how she's feeling about the mission, being brought back to life, andhow everything chaged without her. I was honestly caught off guard by Jacob's question because I was given a response that was meaningful, instead of Thane's questions response "I'm fine what about you?". Bioware could have donebetter with Thane's.Fiery Phoenix wrote...
I like your analysis, but I wish to add something here: Liara asks you that regardless of your relationship status with her. Also, both Jacob and Thane ask Shepard how she's doing at some point through the romance.

Ashley Williams wins for poetry, personality, and even the right amount of flaws. I thought Captain, O Captain, was pretty romantic in its context.

Funnily enough, I couldn't agree more with you on this one. It seems the male love interests are generally much more romantic than their female counterparts. Take Thane and Kaidan, for example: No female love interest comes too close to them in this particular regard. This is one of the slight thingies I've noticed about the romances over time. Not that it's a bad thing.Black_Arrow141 wrote...

Call me weird, but I've only ever been able to go through with one romance in ME2 and that's Miranda. Even when I set out at the start and say: "This time I'll go with Jack!" I end up with Miranda :S.
Hell, I'm having a hard enough time trying to 'stay' with Ashley on the one playthrough that I didn't sac her and romanced her, as I find it really hard to just say 'ok, you're forgiven' after her Horizon rant.
I agree. I've played my canon one twice through in order to max it out and went for Miri each time. I've started another file where I romanced Ash in the comic though I doubt I'll be able to remain faithful, especially since I tend to bring Miranda along on almost all missions due to her abilities.
Probably the only way I could do a playthrough and not romance Miranda is to play as a FemShep, which despite my previous hesitance to try it, I've decided to give it a shot.

Awkward: Garrus (All i could picture was him practicing his lines before going to the capn's quarters, then it goes nothing as planned!)
In another life: Samara </3

I disagree, I think Ashley was a well fleshed out romance. The thing I noticed about the ME2 though is both Miranda and Jack had way too much emotional baggage for my taste. Tali's romance felt like a fanfic written by a Tali fanboy.

If I had to call any of the female love interests "romantic", then it would be Ashley. The others, though... not so much.PrinceLionheart wrote...
