First off all it is hard to know where to begin?!  Everything about DA2, as far as I am concerned anyway, is reminiscent of Mortal Kombat: as the game, in and of itself, definitely has an extensive Asian influence about it. For example, one has to consider the poor atemp at anime graphics; the countless and boring battle sequences, with its exploding bodies and doll heads flying off; along with its laughable gymnastic summersaults and flipping death sequences: reminiscent of Asian  movies that i have seen. (I have not seen one normal death in the entire game.) Dragon Age 2 was undoubtedly made for children and the console.

As an adult who continues to play Dragon Age Origins I feel like I took $60 out of my monthly social security, to buy the pre-ordered game and tossed it into the trash receptacle underneath my kitchen sink. Try as I may I can only withstand DA2 for about five minutes and I am back to playing DAO. I am just saying.

Might need to edit your post seems something went horribly wrong. As for your opinion, surely you played the demo before buying it and got a taste of what the graphics/combat would be like?

I did, but as I said I pre-ordered it. It was either buy the game for $60 or forfeit $10.00 for a restocking fee. In addition, I wanted to give Bioware a chance. I will never ever pre-order a game again, no matter what the developer/publisher offers.

As I recall, I didn't see darkspawn dropping out of the sky in the demo: or, did I have to battle hundreds of darkspawn around every corner when traveling. At least in DAO you could turn a corner without having to fight hundreds of factions that kept falling from the sky.

That to me is not RPG, but rather single-player. Hopefully Bethesda will take note of DA2 and not make the same mistake with its up and coming Skyrim sequel to Oblivion. We can only hope!

Incidentally, below you will find the current GameSpot Scores for both games:

Dragon Age 2:

GameSpot Score 8.0

Critic Score 7.9

User Score 7.3

Dragon Age Origins:

GameSpot Score 9.5
