If this has been covered, please direct me to the right thread, but here's the scenario:

I keep the My Documents folder on an external drive and store all my data there.  A previous instal of Dragon Age Origins registered the profile.dap there as <x>\\My Documents\\Bioware\\...  Since then, I have built a new system and reinstalled Dragon Age: Origins.  I have targeted Windows to see My Documents, Pictures,etc in the current drive listing and have applied ownership privileges to the new account and removed the old SSID. 

Dragon Age: origins will not load that profile.dap file and resume my ongoing game.  It is requesting me to start a new game.  Any way I can edit a configuration or setting to permit Dragon Age to look at the right profile.dap?  Other Bioware games have also loaded a profile folder from the previous install, so this question may apply to the other ones too: ME2 and DA2.
