Starting in the character creation, the graphics are completely shot.  Elf models have a long spike sticking randomly out of their heads and eyes in the middle of their foreheads, dwarven models have no skin on their face, just eyeballs and hair in the back.   It hangs on the encounter with the darkspawn emissary right after the opening segment.  

I upgraded the firmware to 3.01 from the game disk, and it appeared to be successful.  The PS3 says it's at 3.01.

Thoughts?  This is pretty much unplayable right now.

Wow. I wish I could help beyond saying I had none of these problems in my Ps3 runthrough. I'm sorry to hear it, I hope you can figure it out. I'm surprised because the game does a pretty hefty install to the hard drive when you first start it up - I would think if the opening is really choked then it's got to be some kind of issue with you PS3 or maybe that disc but I'm pretty much talking out my butt as I have no facts to base it on.

Well I havnt seen any glitches ...Im playing an Elf Fighter (lvl 12) I really havnt seen any of the slowdowns or Glitches some folks have mentioned....I have both the Slim and the PHAT ps3 all running 3.01 ...

Had none of these problems as well. Get the disc replaced. If that doesn't work then... well it's gotta be the system.

Try deleting your game cache for dragon age and let the game reinstall and see if you run into this again. From what you describe it sounds like some of the textures did not move properly..



If this does not resolve you might consider taking it back to the store or whatever method of refund or replacement that you have access to.

th eonly glitch i have seen so far is the ground next to the chantry and the body dump site in denerim is missing just a big patch of black in front of mage quester. other than that everything is fine...

I have played the game all the way through and have had several slow downs or lagging on my game. Almost all the time, I get into a big battle and I lag a ton. I have a brand new 120 PS3 ..you know the updated slimmer one. So, I'm not sure why I lag so much in battle?

Either you are one ofthe lucky few.. or this problem is not a problem for you, its not like the game runs in 10fps =) but its no way near as smooth and silky as it should be but u might think its ok anyhow and therfore its not a problem.

i need help i have the game on ps3 dragon age that is but ever since i bought it ive never bin able to get on the server it just wont conect all my outher games do but dragonage is the server down or is it just the game pleas help i carnt download needed content

they need to make a patch 2 fix the graphic hiccups lines coming out of characters. Please Release A Patch!!!!
