Just a note, this is my first post on these forums so I apologize for the bad english that is sure to ensue.

Ok. now out of the things im about to list, some of them might conflict with eachother. I am not giving a completely detailed list of what I want to happen, nor am I making a list that is in chronological order as I am doing this right of the top of my head.

My first Idea would be to bring your character from origins and your character from dragon age 2 together in some way. Whether it would be you just meeting up with either one one of them and exchanging a few words, or maybe going further in depth and having you choose which of those two characters would be your main character, and simply have the other one be a part of your party.

My second idea was for an expansion of the ammount of people you can have in your party at one time. I find only being able to choose three characters to be a bit limiting. Im not saying raise it to like a cap of 10, but I was thinking a party of five (you plus four friends) would be quite nice. mostly cause i'm one of those people that create their parties not by how effective they are fighting together, but how interesting there conversations are when im walking around lol.

A third idea I had was online cooperative multiplayer, and offline cooperative multiplayer. Now I cant speak for all of you when I say this. But I know there are a few out there that spent hours playing Baldurs gate: Dark alliance splitscreen with there friends and siblings, and I am deffinetly among those people. I think it would greatly increase how much fun the game would be. Im not saying that they should go through and make the game completly multiplayer compatible, but just make it so a friend can jump in as one of the characters in your party, and drop out whenever they wish. Also some kind of online cooperative story mode would be quite interesting, not a necessity, but interesting none the less.

another one that I should of put up by my first comment would be bringing Morrigans son in as either a supporting or main character. Throughout Origins Morigan was probably my favourite character and when that whole her having a son thing (in my save files case, my son) came up, I immediately started to think about how he was going to tie into the story later on in the series. At first I thought he was going to be the lead in dragon age 2 but i was mistaken. Anyways, it would be very cool to see him show up somewhere in the next game (or two).

This is more of a minor change, but on easy and normal mode I wouldnt mind seeing the weapons and armour not degrade, however I would leave that part in on both hard and nightmare difficulties. The only reason I say this is because usually when I get a game like this I play it through on easy just so I can get the story and stuff down. Then I go through my second time on either the hardest or second hardest difficulty.

Another thing that would be nice to see is more in depth skill trees. Dragon age 2 did a great job of improving upon origins, but im not saying it wouldnt be nice to see what else they could bring us.

I honestly Could write on and on for hours about stuff I would like to see, but I am a lazy teenager and would much rather spend my time playing the game then writing about it. So I leave this thread up to anyone who wants to (even though im sure most of you already have) add what they would like to see, and too people who would like to critique my views of what I would like to so. im open to what you guys have to say about anything ive talked about.

(once again sorry for any grammar errors, point them out if thats the kinda person you are, I personally dont give a **** lol)

Well i would rather they again wipe the slate clean and give us another new setting complete with all new companions and Protagonist..this time however with a longer development time so the game has some polish.
Wouldnt say no to the multiplayer idea though i also enjoyed co-op campaigns more.

I'm reading The Stolen Throne, and I think it would be cool for one of the future DA games to follow that story, playing as Maric. :)

Another idea I had was to play as a Qunari to experience the DA world from their perspective. Could be interesting.

Edit: Play the Qunari as the main character, I mean, with the story focussing heavily on them, their land and their people.

Wipe the slate clean (as Merc said) and get a new writing team.

Keep the skills trees from DA2, and keep the graphics.
Keep the combat dynamics from DA2 but without exploding bodies and summersaulting rogues.

Everything else, go back to DA:O roots and make a proper MMO.

If the voiced Hero (who I end up pressing ESC anyway after the 1st playthrough) is only there after they scrape development from the content, they're better off providing gameplay than VA.

It needs proper exploration, the WHOA! scenery from Lost Temple, etc.
It needs deeper characters.
It needs more choices.
It needs an environment that feels alive and exist in its own world (unlike the world in DA II, that feels like it's there for you to quest in).

Etc. etc.

It needs to be more RPG, less action-adventure game.
Cos DA II does neither properly.

if anything i think a game that has a war in it needs more then just a few numbers of people to kill like a example would be starting the char of Dragon age 3 in the middle of a battle field and not just a running around but surroundid by large numbers of enimys and allys or something i always thought the end battle of dragon age origon was awsome but dident feel like a wide spread battle the battle at the end of dragon age two was intresting at best and just felt like running around allyways

I dont think we need a dragon age game every year. take some time off and think it abouts your ideas before making another game so quickly.

I agree, I would prefer to wait and have the game make more sense then to have another DA2 fiasco.

More thorough testing, and ideally don't redesign the entire game again because it would be a massive waste of time, otherwise keep doing what you do. I know enough about design to know I can't do it, and I certainly can't write, so I'll leave those bits up to Bioware...

Aside from having decidedly more quality control, don't include any aspects of DA2 in DA3, and all should be well. Otherwise, don't market the game as an RPG, market the game an adventure game.

If it went back to Origins (which it won't) I would light it on fire and declare a Jihad. Origins was okay, but confined to a genre. Why is everyone afraid of change? If i ever play another voiceless, word-scroll game in the 21st century I'm going to quit. I read enough as a philosophy student, I want my games to be voice-acted. If strategy is all you want, get a twenty sided dice, and wear fake elf-ears; or read a book. Sorry, I had to get that off my chest.

I'll be mad if they throw everything out and start from scratch again. I'm not convinced that sales are going to suffer just because a few models and textures are only tweaked versions of stuff from the last game.

How about instead of redesigning darkspawn yet again, you use that effort to give us a new, cooler monster. And then I can fight darkspawn AND new cool monsters. Instead of having darkspawn be orcs and then darkspawn be orcs bred with The Leprechaun and then whatever else you decide is the new "style" for the next one.

I agree with merc to an extent for sure. I deffinetly wouldnt mind playing as a new character in some kind of different enviroment. But eventually I would really like to see the other characters tie in some how. Not saying it has to be the next game, but eventualy.

I'am at the point of not even being mad about the game or story anymore. The damage has been done.
I don't see them doing what the fans want, that has not happend and it won't. You have two guys that are over the game story and how it works and they want to give you what they think is good and not what the fans want and thus..you have DA2. You have a writer that wants people to be into his world and not it's characters...thats a bad omen for this series. You have a guy that wants a RPG to be cool at the push of one button.......no more thinking. They need to market the game as a action game and not a RPG. MIke and Daivd have runied rpgs for BioWare and I for one will not buy one on blind faith again. I lost faith in the team at BioWare. Yea, they kicked over the castle and it will not be brought back up again. As I have always said, you don't like what I say......you know what you can do and where you can go but peace and love be with thee......:P

Forget a dragon age 3,
make a "Dragon age : Origins 2" with DA2 grafics and gore, but reinject tactical view and RPG / baldur combat mode, exploration worthy maps loads of optionals / hidden treasures and encounters quests chains 85 hour + compaign. They are enough meaningless hack'n'slasher and brawlers out there.
Or just remake baldur's gate 1+2 + ext whole saga in one game with DA2 graphics. Even if it sold for 500 $ i'd buy it =).
You have already the licenses, all the storyline /dialogues.

You sounded interesting up until the word "multiplayer". You've lost all of my respect.

Just curious, why does the idea of multiplayer put you off the game? I wouldnt mind hearing your opinion on the topic. Personally I think that it might bring a little something extra to the game. The idea of being able to join in with a friend accross steam or xbl or the psn seems quite inviting to me.

Hmm if they added multiplayer they would have to really change the game's design, and you know how many people respond to change.

Trash the framed narrative, we all hated not being able to make a difference.

Get rid of those JRPG influence. You know what i'm talking about.

No more Waves.

Slow down the combat. Slower hits, with more damage. Also some semblance of realism would be nice. It's the same engine, I know you guys can do it.

No more chunky giblets. Bring back deathblows. Give Mages deathblows. You promised it and then screwed us over. Don't do it again.

Voiced protagonist is fine.

But if you are going to give us a preset character, you may as well give him a preset personality.I know a lot of people don't like that, but if you are going to throw our imaginations out the window, you may as well do it while exercising your [still good] writing chops. Notice most everyone still loves Shepard despite the fact he is a marine and acts like one, good or bad?

Items. Let us play barbie dress up with our companions. We like it. A lot.

If you really want our companions to wear xxx outfit, then keep standard outfit as something we can upgrade over time and eventually be as good as/better than the crap we loot.

Give us origins. I KNOW you guys are doing the voiced protagonist again. Which means we will probably be human again. Whatever, but give us origins. 3 would be nice. They introduce us to the story and character a la DA:O's origins. If you are feeling particularly ballsy, allow one origins to be locked out if you made a specific choice in DA:O.

And take your time with it. Some things in DA2 were cool, but for the most part, it was an inferior and less fun offering than DA:O was.

tactical view... strategy... lame. I hate strategy games; if I wanted to bore myself to death I'd watch "The King's Speech."
