I can honestly say I didn't abuse it, I maybe gave myself a grand total of about 3 extra levels from it over the course of the game, and maybe 50 soverigns.  So, now that thats gone, I'm guessing there's no other XP tricks, and that odds are, you'll finish out gameplay at 25?

Yeah, I guess I just liked having a extra skill point or two. I guess there's no way to dupe the potions in the BE, because there's only ever one each of them?  Also, I guess the only way to undo it would be to delete the game info from my x360, and I'd rather not do that.  Bleh, I guess we can hope for some DLC chunks soon as to get a few extra levels worth of xp/skills in.

The PC Users can get max level by using console commands. There is also an addon that adjusts xp gains to help leveling more than it is currently allowed in the game. Granted all of this leaves the xbox and PS3 players out to dry. heh.

I used the trick, played at a stupidly high level for awhile, and then reloaded. Its more fun scarping by on gold and not having an insane set of stats.

Can still get to high levels in Act 3 if Isabela came back for you. With the ambrosia component, there's a potion that gives everyone 1 level. It costs 5 sovereigns and has a re-use time of 5 minutes, but if you're patient and have the cash you can get as many levels as you want.

Basically, one of those "return item" quests, go to the person, before clicking them, draw your weapon, as you're putting it away, hit the A key on X360, dunno what the PS3 one is, or console, and you'll keep getting the xp+cash reward as long as you do it. Again, I used to to maybe gain like 3 levels worth of xp and cash

Now your talking the "Elixir of Heroism" potion for which you found the recipe during the "Demands of the Qun" quest correct. It costs 8 sovereigns and it can only be used once. not multiple times. Also you can only make one of them and then it's gone.

I can't figure out if Bioware purposefully made it d@mn near impossible to create a character that fully utilizes two specialization skill branches as well as other skill trees because of future DLC and expansions that would raise the XP pool or if they just didn't do the math. I swear, sitting down and creating a perfect character was doable and attainable in DAO. In DA2, it just seems like you are constantly trying to reach fruit on a branch that is always out of reach.
