Of course they don't care about Shepard. Shepard's a former Lt. Commander, former/rogue Spectre, who just caused the deaths of 300,000 innocents because of a threat no one believes in.

If they back Shepard in any way they risk who knows what kind of punishments from the Council (or if the Council is all human, they risk rebellion from the turians, salarians, and asari. They already hate the all-human Council enough as it is) and all-out war with the Batarians.

Shepard's not worth Citadel punishments and out-right war. Shepard's a person, a person who's also murdered a large number of people and appears to be insane.

How would the world take a person who nuked Manhattan because "Lower fifth was the gateway in which the eldrich outer gods would appear. I saved the world by closing them off from our realm."

If the whole Reaper fleet is on Earth, I would destroy the local Relay and end the Reapers in one blow. Humanity's settled other worlds. We'll get by. We won't if the Reapers win.

At the time they've put Shepard on trial, they have no proof the galaxy is even in danger. When the Reapers arrive, the destruction of the Alpha relay goes from being a seemingly random act of genocide that puts the Alliance at risk of war, to a legitimate strategic move aginst the Reapers.

Well, this is a long shot, but TIM can actually be against Shepard that didn't destroy the Collector's Base... What if TIM was exposed to indoctrination in that very Collector's Base or some object that layed dormant there. It doesn't even have to do with Collector's Base - for all Shepard variations that scenario could happen. As I said, it would be a long shot since from Grayson's case we know that TIM protects himself and has great knowledge, but yet again he is willing to risk and play with new toys he gets. Even the trial could be used to invoke TIM's wrath on renegade Shepard, so there are many possibilities on how TIM chasing Shep is not a possible future plothole. Just wait and see how the things will play out.

  







I can understand The Illuisve Man and Cerberus being pissed off at Shepard  for destroying the base at the end of 2 if you chose the paragon ending . So yeah that would make them come after you and try to kill you . What I can not understand is . If you give TIM the base then that should mean you reamin apart of Cerberus and keep the SR 2 . 
Bioware is saying in the GI article that Cerberus is after Shepard and want to kill him.  They keep saying choices from ME 1 and 2 will matter in 3 . Well then the choice at  the end of 2 should mean  your Shepard made a choice in who to align with.  Its a retcon to Me and a very stupid one 

It's not a retcon if TIM got indoctrinated somehow or if renegade Shepard sings all about him and Cerberus on that famous trial. TIM doesn't like loose ends. So just be patient and see how renegade story will unfold.

To be honest, I'd do it to any race and system. If the majority/all of the Reapers are in one system I will destroy that system to kill them.

They're dead anyway if the Reapers are on top of them. It's amputating a limb that has gangrene. Sad. But I will do it to save the whole.

I also agree with this as well; my shepard would do that as well but he would only do that as a last resort.

Well for one, Shepard was in the alliance military for years so he's a military man.  He wouldn't be where he is today without them.  Even renegades in me2 could be dismissive of TIM, the point of me2 was never to join Cerberus as you very much desire.  The alliance or Ashley/Kaidan never betrayed you as I've seen you say from time to time.  People thought you were dead and moved on with their lives in that 2 year period. 

Then out of nowhere (if a love interest case) Shep comes back and is working with a very questionable organisation.  And what? They're supposed to be "Oh that's cool I'm so glad you're back here let me be subjected to your charm/intimidate i win buttons so I don't have views of my own?"  I could see where they were coming from and how they might have been just alittle emotional at that point.

Hopefully we both can agree that we hope the reason Cerberus is hunting Shepard isn't petty (I don't like how Shep talked to me, I'm gonna kill him now) and it's well reasoned and perhaps might have a dose logic in it.  I would hope for them to try and stay morally gray.

I haven't read most of this thread, but the jist of the OP complain is choices don't make as big of effect on 2nd game as he/she would have liked.
