In ME1 the hidden loading elevator worked just fine.
Bring back the military ship feeling, the luxury liner wasn't that atmospheric.

Agreed. Honestly the interior reminds me of a hospital and a squeaky clean finish!
Fine for the med-bay. But not the rest of the ship.

- Keep the aquarium.
- Make the captains's quarters fully customisable.
- No Cerb/Alliance logos.
- Quasar Machine.
- VR Training Room.
- Drinks Bar (like in Kasumi's room in ME2).
- Extranet Terminal.
- Vid Terminal.
- Crew/squad members walking around and interacting more.
- Ken and Gabby.
- More drinking with Chakwas.
- Improved galaxy map (faster navigation, no fuelling).
- Space combat.
- No f***ing calibrations.
- More interaction with EDI.
- Cooler Normandy interior (Tron Legacy style?).
- Rename it as the Normandy SR-3.
- Paint the exterior black with gold lighting.
- Keep the ship models from ME2 and let Shepard collect more.
- No loading screens on the Normandy.
- More control over what the crew is doing.
- More control over the CIC.
- No more sex scenes in the drive core.

I hated the slow elevator ride in the SR-1 but the loading screens on the SR-2 arn't any better. It's an especially big problem in the PS3 version of ME2 where the Normandy load screens seem to last forever.
I didn't really care for the way ceratin section of the Normandy SR-2 were locked off untill a certain crew member came on board the ship. Why couldn't I visit EDI's AI core right when I first got the Normnady.
One thing that I really liked about the SR-2 was that we could talk to ther people besides Shepard's squad mates, people like Mess Sergeant Gardner, Kelly Chambers or Gabby and Ken. Sure, they did not have all that much to say, maybe Bioware can expand on this concept and give characters like Dr Chalkwas and Gabby and Ken more dialogue in ME3, give the gamer more incentive to visit and converse with them more.
It would be nice if I didn't have to go all the way up to the Captain's quarters every time I wanted to modify my armour. While I'm at it I hated the fact that I could never get a proper look at my Shepards footwear in the armour locker screen. Changes need to be made to that screen so that we can get proper look at Shepard n full armour, not just 3/4 ofa view of Shepard.
I'm not to keen on the idea of a shooting gallery aboard the Normandy but I do agree that we need somewhere to test out our weapons. If weapon modding works the way I think it does ( according to the GI article ) then we need someplace to test out the various weapon modificactions away from the battlefield.
I would like Ship upgrading to return for ME3 although I don't want to waste my time on uselesss stuff like a Medical Bay that does nothing or upgrading the Normandy's fuel ( why is fuel in ME2 at all ) or the number of probes it can carry ( why wasn't this infinte ). I liked upgrading the guns and the shields. I would also like to be able to customise ( to a certain extent at least ) the interior of the Normandy. It was fun customising Shepard's quarters in ME2 with all the model ships, the fish, the hamster, his old helmet, his old dog tags.

a video surveillance room like on the SB base
the mess hall should be used in a kind of last supper scene before the final battle including all important persons onboard
A souvenir from every major mission should be added to Shepard's quarters after we completed it a la N7 Helmet from Normandy crash site or prothean artifact from Project Firewalker.
Airlocks and gangways should be used on major hub worlds like ME1.
all areas accessible from the beginning
more crew like Ken and Gabby and more dialogue with them

I think that it's important for the Normandy to look like what it is.
Shepard's base of operations.
We know that the battles in ME3 will be massive, so I think that it would be important for the CIC to be have a greater purpose than just being where the galaxy map is. The question is, how do you create that sense of importance for a specific area of the ship?
Sure, the CIC is already the second most important part of the ship, apart from the meeting room. A lot of cutscenes take place in it, and Joker runs past it when the Collectors board the ship. I think that, if more attention is given to the crew on the CIC and having them involved in cutscenes, it would be a good start.
Perhaps at the counsuls surrounding the CIC could have the representatives of all the allies you have recruited, much like the allies that gathered at your camp in DA:O.

- Paint it black and red instead of black and orange. (please, yes, please)
- Make the meeting room like TIM's office. But with chairs for the squad to sit, and several haptic interfaces for the various work that needs to be done.
+1 on these. Others either don't bother me (like loading screens) or I don't want them much.
Can't think of any other suggestions right now.

Isn't a shooting range enough? I don't really see the need for a VR deck.
I agree, it's either a shooting range or a VR deck. Having both would be bloated.
I'd prefer a VR deck, however. It works the same like a shooting range and is more functional. It would help to get used to AI's new tactics, new melee system and other stuff. Don't think you can do that with a shooting range, can you?

I would be fine with either of them, to be honest. Just not both, as that would be redundant.roflchoppaz wrote...

Ambient music
Active and moving crew members that interact with each other.
More focus on the CIC
Loading screens. They're faster.
Multi-species crew.
Volus requisition officer.
Fill it with more people. There were too many empty seats on the SR2.

- Ambient music return
- No overt loading screens ala ME2
- Weapon range (awesome idea btw OP)
- More interactivity/details around the ship (maybe various small side-experiments in the science lab that you can talk to Mordin about, an extranet terminal, ect)
- Crew-on-crew interaction and movement throughout the ship (have a mini map that tells you where each crew member is)
- Mini games (slots, poker, whatever else)
- More visual collectables for Shepard (ship models, pets, other publications, trinkets)

Take a look at the Suicide Mission and Arrival.
There are models with a very high poly count, high res textures, and overall better lighting. I really don't think that they are not pre-rendered.
Unfortunately, the videos are still pre-recorded and compressed, but if there are more votes, I'll add it.CROAT_56 wrote...
