get rid of the observation decks and make them more military friendly make one a weight and sparring room and the other maybe Tali's quarters or something? I mean she has no cot and no room even on the flotilla she had a room!

Make the meeting area a sitting style meeting room like we had in ME.

I don't like the colors red and black for my ship either make it so we can customize the Normandy main color then do accent colors like we did with the armor but span the whole color spectrum  here like I personally might like the haul color to be black but interior colors I'd like main theme to be light blue and secondary color to be dark blue so I bring back that Alliance feel. However another player might want a hot pink haul and the primary interior color to be yellow and the secondary color to be bright shock green. A third player might want grey haul and white primary and grey secondary interior colors let us choose that.

I suppose the easiest way to get the Normandy a customize mode is to escape Earth flee to either the citadel, omega, or illium based on what the player wants to do the ship auto goes into the ship yard shep does things on whatever port he choose for instance if he went to the Citadel he'd meet with the council first if he went to Omega maybe he'd meet with Aria and if he went to Illium he'd meet with a SB contact then once player starts to return to their ship they get stopped by a worker saying they need shep to go over the ship repairs and upgrades to approve before he leaves the yard. This is where we get the screen to customize the ship as we see fit in color, logos, room arrangements and repurpose, ect.


Players can decide while in inspection mode

Do they want Cerberus rebel, Alliance, Spector wings, Pirate, and other unique logos or that they want none at all. If players says no logo the ship won't have any.

Color of haul using a full spectrum slider so they can get the color they want.

Primary interior color using slider again to tweak colors

Secondary interior colors same slider again

Select room upgrades

we know the rooms of Garage, Both observation decks, sheps room, meeting room, lab room, grunts room, life support, red room, and zeeds room are all wastes of space in one way or other players get shown a map floor by floor of these rooms they can select repurpose, rearrange, or leave as is.

to repurpose a room select the room and hit button for repurpose a list comes up and shows what options are available for this space obviously no extensions can be added but what the room serves as is up to its dimensions you can't stick the armory in life support for instance. But you could put the med bay up on deck 1 and sheps room on deck 3 where said bay use to be. Several options would be presented and a preview option would be available so players can see just what they're placing in before they commit it would save them alot of headache in reloads to get the room they wanted.

If you want to rearrange a room select it click press the button for rearrange and the room would become a 3D object on screen selecting things with in each room for instances sheps room you could select the model wall and select it a menu would pop up with options to repurpose this piece only say I can choose half wall, mini bar, desk, tv, or fish tank I pick mini bar you'd get a counter on it some glasses that are interactive and most the liquor would be under the table top in a glass cabinet so you can see them and bottles on bar for use.

Somethings like won't be tweak able like where sheps bed is in the room but the large fish tank the half wall and how many desks and seating options he has can be changed.

Once player is done figuring out all those things they click finalize and have the ship throughout the game. The new Normandy is moved from the ship yard to be accessed by the player in docking and off they go to start ME3.

I can already see a mod in my minds eye where the entire crew is wearing stripper outfits, and I therefore beto this idea. The regular outfits are fine.

The reason why I think that the shooting range and the VR room should be different is this:
The shooting range should be there for quick access for weapon upgrades. In fact, it would be nice if you could access it without existing the customization screen.

The VR room serves as post-game content, you can have multiple simulations there, replay specific levels etc.

However, I guess that the two could be merged if there is some sort of button in the weapon customization screen that transports you instantly to the VR room, for you to test your weapon.

No more ugly Failberus logos please.

Make it more military feeling by putting machinery in all those empty open spaces. For the same reason there should be point defense guns instead of the bar and the observation deck. Of course people should live there anyway, when the guns arent used of course.

The Normandy should feel more like a cramped submarine than a luxury liner.

I see your point, and I pretty much thought the same. But I'm afraid it would still feel somewhat redundant.

Like I said in my response to Choppaz, I would be fine with ONE of them. Doesn't matter which. However, having both on the same ship... I'm not so sure.

I also would like active crew members and customization of Shepard's cabin, but apart from that I'm pretty much fine with the way it is. Not that I wouldn't like upgrades for the ship, I'm just not being picky.

So a more military feel with no identifying insignia indicating which navy it belongs too and wall paper in the cabin? Interior design? Customizable crew uniforms on a military vessel?

If your going to make suggestions for pointless cosmetic stuff at least make it consistent. Or go and play the sims. I'd rather BW focus on the game play aspect.

I do have to ask as well, what's in the hangar that's so interesting?

I honestly don't think we'll ever be able to customize the exterior of the Normandy. There will probably be quite a few pre-rendered movies that have the Normandy in them and it'd be odd to have the ship one color and then a totally different scheme when we see it in the pre-rendered scenes. It'd be great if we could but I can't see it happening. As much as I would like no pre-rendered scenes, it'd be unfeasible to have one in ME with the entire Citadel fleet taking down Sovereign.

That grumpy krogan mechanic from Tuchanka pimping my rides in the hangar. He can upgrade them for a price.

A elcor merchant and a hanar dito competing for my credits.

A turian BFG of a thanix taking up much of the space inside if you kept Garrus alive. If you didn't; it sucks to be you.

1.Normandy SR1 was a military ship and it didn't have any Alliance logos on it.
2. Considering that different people made and voted these suggestions, there is no need to be consistent.
3. We don't want the Sims or APB or whatever. But a bit more of customization wouldn't hurt anyone. The lighting, for example, is a simple customization element that can create a completely different atmosphere.

I do have to ask as well, what's in the hangar that's so interesting?

1. The new vehicle(s)
2. The crew.
3. Squad members that will be there.
4. A possible location that will be used for hidden loading (As in: The squad walks towards the shuttle while the level is being loaded)

I notice a running theme here... Customisation!!!


It looks like we want to interact more with the Normandy this time round. Give us things to do while on board. Rather then just a hub to talk to crew mates and move from system to system.

I want shep to act like the acting captain he is and direct some space combat. No need to let us pilot the thing directly, just give us some choices in combat.
