So I know maker's sigh is bugged, and I've seen alot of topics on how to stop the bug from happening (like removing all potions etc from your inventory).

However, my character already had extra points from this bug before I realized what happened and how it happened... I know now how to prevent getting extra's points, but is there any way to remove the extra points I already have?

No, there isn't. However, there's a chance(never tested this myself, I'd honestly rather just not d othe glitch at all) that you can use a Maker's Sigh and then after it removes all your skils just put them in normally rather than doing the glitch. I don't know if this will work, but it is possible that this could remove the negative effects from the glitch.

Thank you, I suppose I'll have to wait untill it's fixed then. I'll give your suggestion a try, so what you are saying is use a maker's sigh, and just spec into the amount of points I should have at that level?

No, think of it like just having had used a bunch of tequnike manuals, just allocate the points normally, but as if yo uhave more than noremal. It probbly won't work, but I don't know. I never do the glitch to begin with.

Ah I see...

Ever since I noticed the glitch, I've done everything I could to prevent it, which worked so far. I might just start another playtrough with another char and continue with this mage when it's fixed.

Yes there is. Use a Maker's Sigh potion to reset all your talent points. Then save and exit. Use the savegame editor to manually change the number of talent points back to what you should have and save the changes. Load the game back up, and you should have the correct number of points.

Well I play on the xbox 360, so editing isn't an option. I did get an update this week (I assume it's the patch) however, I still have more point then I should have, so it did not fix it as far as I can tell.

One problem with new patch is the Walking Bomb sound continues sometimes after enemy has died. It remains hissing, I just ignore it and move out of area until reload cleans it out of sound buffer.

Otherwise, though, the patch 1.02 fixes most bugs, including the Maker's sigh bug.

The patch will prevent new instances of the glitch, but not remove current instances; after all, you might have read a tome or something to give you the extra point.

If editing is impossible, there is an easy workaround: buy a talent you don't intend to use (either actively or as a means to reach a power further up the tree), doesn't give a passive benefit, and remove it from your quick bar (or console equivalent).

Yeah I'll stick to that solution, I don't want to play unfair and at least I'm glad that it won't happen anymore, for this char and any char I might make in the future Posted Image
