More importantly though they previewed the sound for that new gun shown in the GI article (@ 2:43)
which IMO I thought the design for was great.

Also, kudos to Bioware and EA for reaching out for help from DICE. Cross team communication has worked wonders for Sony and it is great to see it gain traction with other developers/publishers.

Wow. The new sound design video was very impressive. Talk about night and day when it comes to the ME2 rifle compared to the ME3 rifle. I can't wait to hear more.

GI seems to get hit massively for covering entire ME 3 stuff. now, they have posted new stuff continually. today it is all about new sound of weapons, and music. lucky for them.
Unless I'm missing something, there's nothing about music.

Good, the sound from the rifle actually sounds like it can pack a punch and not the *pew pew* we got from the avenger and some other rifles in both ME2 and ME.
But space guns go pew pew.
I loved the new sound for the assault rifle, that was a big improvement. I can;t wait to see how the sounds change based on location, maybe echoing sounds in canyons for example.

Have you heard of Rainbow Six Vegas 2?
It's a tactical, but very simple, consolized shooter. It's not a very good game but,
I think that the only reason I have been playing it non-stop are the addictive sound effects. Hope this happens with ME3 as well.

I agree 100%, Phaedon. Vegas 2 had some of the best sound effects in any shooter. Like the sound the SV98 sniper rifle makes. A total monster!Phaedon wrote...

Now Gameinformer just has to go interview Clint Manswell for the soundtrack...
A sample would be interesting, but it would be definitely unfinished at this point.

I doubt we will see Mansell's work any time soon.
As long as he sticks with the good old ME1 music design and layout, I'd be happy. The ME2 soundtrack was nice and some pieces are outright awesome (Samara FTW), but the ME1 score was nothing less than mindblowing and it does fit the ME universe a lot better in my opinion.
