Bioware sealed My hatred for Anderson and the Alliance in the GI article when they said Cerberus would be after Shepard. I have no use for a bastard like Anderson in My ME 3 game

That would make you hate Anderson why........?

I hated Anderson already for him spying on My Shepard in Mass Effect 2 and there was no real way for me to get even for it. but after reading the GI article I hate him even more and I outright hate  the Alliance even worse.

We get it, now quit repeating yourself you're a broken record and spamming.

True . . .though I find it very difficult to "dislike" someone who risked life and limb for you (for the third time Ilos).  The truest sign of friendship is if someone will stick by you when it isn't popular or expedient to do so.

He didn't "risk" it for Shepard. Anderson knew that Saren was up to something based on their past history & Eden Prime and figured the risk was worth it. He called Shepard to Flux to tell him that he had to go after Saren, not the other way around. He put Shepard & the Alliance crew on the Normandy at risk when he instructed beacon-adled Shepard to "godspeed you madman!"

For Anderson, he was living his wet dream: Punching Udina in the face and sending his "tool" out to defeat his archenemy. As for friends, Shepard and Anderson had no history before the Normandy. If they did then why does Shepard question the Dr. and Pressly on Anderson?

When Shepard does ask Anderson for something ("Ash/Kaiden?") all of a sudden Anderson can't tell him/her? What? You can ask me to steal the Normandy but you can't tell me where someone is or what they are doing? WTF?

I don't see Anderson as Shepard's friend but an ally of sorts. That is why my Shepard has Wrex ... now there is a bud. He let Shep blow up Virmire and free the Rachni Queen when he should have put a bullet in Shep's head.

Turian Councilor for Squadmate and LI in ME3!
With that said, I agree that hating Anderson because he helped root out traitors to the Alliance to be rather unreasonable (and by traitors I mean people who were reporting classified information to TIM and using their power to further Cerberus' goals)
edit: just realized how potentially odd that was in a thread about people whipping the word traitor around so much, but whatcha gonna do

Since I don't hate Anderson, I guess this thread doesn't apply to me.

But while we're on the topic...

Anderson's role in Retribution was a disappointment on many levels, and was a serious mistake on the part of his character.

I don't hate Anderson, Goliath For The Win.
But I will still kill him if comes done to a choice between him and Jack. Anderson is a solider and his attacks on Cerberus are just poorly timed, we need all the help we can get in the war. Also I don't want Turians to arrest Alliance officials, that will cause more issues then it solves. Besides I want humans to rule the galaxy, and a tyrant is much deal with than everyone being dead.

This topic is confusing. What is the discussion about? I only see claims to Councilor Velarn fandom and love for green bears......

People calling Anderson a traitor , are foolishe .
Honestly in ME1 he was willing to throw away his career and life , so you can get a shot at Saren.
Anyway even if you let the council die , But put Anderson on the council you would still get your spectre status... those Fools who put Udina in charge should go ... ah well you know what to do with him .

But honestly after ME1 , I wasn´t to thrilled to join Cerebus .
But dead man can´t be picky , and it does fit Shepard to repay a debt .

Anderson worked against my Femshep's future husband(Jack Harper), so naturally he's going to end up swinging from a noose because of it.

Ummm you might want to rethink your wording on this one......

In a way you could look at shep doing Tim's bidding in ME2 is payment but when someone does what tIM did you can never repay them. And as I hate Cerberus that's bad for me.

More for OP Anderson is a good guy and as a good guy people dislike him, people hate him, and nutters want him dead it comes with being a good person. He's not fighting the good fight for fame or fortune he's doing it because he believes in what he is doing I'm sure Anderson fully expects his military career to go up in flames and his personal life to boot. Some of the greatest achievers or thinkers died poor.

Anderson has done many positive selfless things like offering to die to get shep off lock down in ME, continuing to serve on the council and feel like he's bashing his head into a wall on a daily baisies, trying out for spectorhood then taking the fall whe it all went bust, I'm sure he's done more but for shep he's done alot and stuck his neck out far too often I feel bad for him but I admire him as a character he symbolizes ideals that are quickly the object of scorn now adays.

Saving Humanity is paying a debt for Cerberus? Wow...... people around here would make horrible Shepards. So that's his motivation for fighting Collectors? Repaying a debt to a branded terrorists group? WTF

It is not that Pwner it is the moral question , we are always asked in modern day life .
Now again overlord as example , you got rubbed into the face what Cerebus wants and would do .
Some things while noble , others are plain hideous .

Sure alliance isn´t beter , but atleast they don´t cross the line that often and knowingly .
If busted they will shut those things down .
So yes they brought Shepard back to life , for a purpose suicide mission .
That nobody else can do , So it is not exactly a garantee success .
That shepard pulls it off , is up to the players .

But the moral question is simple , how far are you willing to cross the line .
Like in Real Life , we know that civilian casualties is normal , but get caught on TV for shooting a sheepherder  kid .Even if it is black ops or not , you are fired !!!
Simple as that , that is how strong our society is guided by moral decision .
Nobody likes to talk about it , I pitty some of military people serving in wartorn zones .
Cause we are not there to judge them , and infact they have to live the rest of there lives with the feelings .
But it is good they don´t speak openly about it , cause that is crossing the moral boundries .
