God, this thread is full of stupid, paticuarly the "derp the muzzle flash is blue therefore it's a stun gun." Pretty much every weapon in ME1 and a fair deal of the ME2 weapons have blue muzzle flashes.

For once, I -think- Zulu was trying to make a joke.

To those who say that Anderson acted to rescue a damsel in distress--and not to fight Cerberus; you're applying standards to Anderson that you would never apply to Shepard or any other RPG hero. How many side-quests that are a pure waste of time did you do just to level up? Heck, maybe Anderson needed 300 XP to get a new power or be able to use a new gun aganist the reapers. You'll thank him when he joins your squad:P

Aren't they something?  I mean they are willing cut anyone BUT Anderson any slack.   TIM, Udina, Hackett and anyone else that ISN'T Anderson is A-OK.  lol!

And I have still yet to read an intelligent reason why it's okay for TIM to hunt Shepard in the middle of the Reaper invasion of Earth.  And why they all seem to be okay with TIM and what he's doing, but would rather see Anderson's head on a spike.

darknoon5 is absolutely correct.  This thread is full of stupid.

To the Anderson Haters... my first thought was honestly, "Isn't that like saying, To the Dinosaur Rapers... meaning, addressing a category of individuals which cannot exist?"

But of course, that was overly optimistic. There will always be people who hate that which is awesome. It's probably jealousy.

Whatevs. Only makes me love him more.

In the process you are ignoring all the people who are angry at Anderson outside of cerberus. I am angry at his actions, I am angry at his reasons for said actions, and I am angry that he take his responsibiltiies so lightly he would endanger ALL GALACTIC LIFE.

TIM hunting Shepard is mainly fan-service for Cerberus-hatersImage IPB.

Their are plenty of reasons stated what Anderson did is facepalm worthy and worthy of treason.

Most people that defend him have selfish reasons

True, when I'm playing ME3 i'll just make pretend some wizard banished TIM to another dimension and left some robot imposter in his place.

Or at least, you'd prefer that to be the case, and so are claiming it is despite having nothing to back it with. And no, your intuition doesn't count.

Ignoring? I have been responding to everyone trying to justify his actions, only to be ignored because "lul cerberus fanbois r mad."

Hell I hate cerberus, and I LIKE Anderson. But no one seems to realize HE ENDANGERED ALL GALACTIC LIFE FOR SOME TAIL,

That alone should be enough to at least make you question his sanity, but he also betrays your trust, weakens the alliance, and pretty much destroys everything you worked for in ME1.

For those defending Anderson's actions I must ask if you realize the greater implications? Let's assume for a moment that even with the only active player against the Reapers crippled we can still pull a win out of this. Provided we survive the Reapers and the Council races aren't completely and utterly decimated (militarily at least) Anderson's actions have doomed humanity to second/third class status along with at best the Volus/Hanar/Elcor and at worst Quarians/Krogan/Batarians.

By going to the Turians to take down Cerberus Anderson demonstrated that humanity cannot be relied upon to reign in it's rogue elements. Not only that but the intel he gave also showed the extent of infiltration of said elements into business, military, and politics. So since we can't handle our own affairs the Council will appoint another species to police us and who do you think they'll choose? It's a bright and shiny future for humanity Anderson has created; a government free of corruption and every human colony turned into a Turian police-state where even the slightest expression of discontent is considered a terrorist act.

I wish it worked that way I really do, but while the actions of one man can condemn a people they cannot redeem them. Anderson's actions condemned humanity because it made him out to be the exception, the one good human. Shepard's actions will fail to redeem humanity for the same reason, he'll be made out as an exception rather than the rule.

yeah its fan service . If it was not fan service they would have told us why but no they are refusing to tell us until we play the game . so there are only 2 ways to think about this . A - They have a logical reason as to why TIM turned on Shepard . B - They have no real reason and its stupid . So in fear of catching hell from people they are refusing to tell us .  Its fan service just like that Liara dlc was and just like that Hackett dlc was .  You can do what you want in 3 . but My Shepard will save Earth and Miranda and the Galaxy . But The Alliance and anyone who supports it ion My game will see My Shepard be a total ass and renegade to them no matter who it is .

Maybe they'll tell you why when you boot the game? I'm sure it won't be "OHAI, Boss wants his money back."

On another note: most people "hated" working with cerberus because Shepard accepted it a little too easily, even the Sole Survivor.
