I have two of these tactics set up, and I have never seen either of them work. I'm starting to think that the tactic is broken. Either that, or Mages, Desire Demons, and Arcane Horrors don't actually use magic attacks.
I could probably just change it to target Mage class, but I just wanted to see if anyone else noticed this as well.
Is "Enemy: Using Magic Attack" Broken?

Hmm, I thought that nearest visable rogue worked. I have "Enemy: nearest visable rouge: crushing prison" and my Anders usually uses it on the assassins, but then again I have "Enemy: rank is normal or higher: crushing prison" right below it, so maybe that's the tactics he is executing.

My bet is that it's the latter tactic firing. All of my "Enemy: Nearest visible class: Rogue" tactics are wholly ignored on the xbox.

Anyone else out there know if they can confirm or deny this?

sorry, i was inundated with help requests yesterday.
testing now
ok,
tested this over 2 Evil Tome fights: Chantry & Bone Pit
used activate: Summon Mabarii so it was clear
first run, Chantry
I left the Desire Demon alone long enough for her to start attacking after the initial buff she does
I am assuming she is casting the enemy version of Spirit Bolt as they share animations
enemy: using magic attack: activate: Summon Mabarii
no mabarii
We can come up with a few theories from this:
"using magic attack" does not work
the Desire Demon's buff(s) and attacks are lacking a magic classification
the Desire Demon's attacks are standard attacks like that of a staff weapon
2nd run, Bone Pit
I left the Desire Demon alone long enough for her to start attacking after the initial buff she does
enemy: nearest visable mage: activate: Summon Mabarii
Mabarii summoned immediately
Desire Demon is a mage
"nearest visable mage" works
