Can anybody tell me how or why you can or can't copy your character to a usb drive so you can load it on another PS3

Yup I had the same prob was trying 2 move my Save from the Phat 2 the slim Ps3 in the room as the Family wanted 2 watch a Blu ray ....No luck ...just said the save was copy protected

Unfortunately ea games is bad for this and there is no way to copy it i find it annoying too cause i like to keep backups of my saves just in case the hard drive dies

Well for op sorry its protected for Inpending Doom it should copy when doing a hard drive backup which backups all save files and critical files.

Definatly remove the protection, it would be nice to transfer the save files to play on multiple systems, or if you ever have to replace your system. Having the hard drives is nice but its times like this i miss the days of memory cards. You were not tied to a system to play your game.

Bioware why do you have save protection on DA, this really does not make sense. Its not like I can save my data and then play a full game on someone else's PS3, they kinda have to purchase the game as well.... All we want to do is backup our saved data, just in case or if we have another PS3.... Patch please

Im one of those weirdos that does back up my ps3 on a weekly basis!

But it does take bloomin ages and I hate to imagine how much DAO i would lose before my weekly backup.

I just had a system failure myself. My old PS3 wouldn't read my Dragon Age disc anymore, or any other disc. Solution: Buy a new PS3. Failure: I have to play Dragon Age 4 times instead of 3 to get all the trophies... I was so close to getting the level 20 trophy too! Now I'm back at square one and very very angry at BioWare for locking the game save. All respect I had for them, just went out the window because I had 30+ hours on the game save and they FORCE me to restart.

me too gotta go get a new ps3 for stupidly freezin all the time and been here ages trying to transfer to my usb im sooo gutted tht i gotta start over this is 3rd time now least i know its actually impossible to do tho n not me being thick
