I don't see issues with Fenris, or Merrill or Orsino as re-designed elves. They are certainly very attractive, and yet look unique from humans.

at the risk of sounding nerdy, the LoTR orcs are perverted version of elves....so there should be resemblence.

ROFL! I love nerdy, and I know that! But they aren't perverted DAO elves. So we've been invaded by orcs (perverted LoTR elves) makes perfect sense!
