that's what aggressive behavior and hold are for, so you can stop your companions without interrupting their tactics

Awesome work once again AreleX.

Just a quick question, What is this tactic supposed to do?

Enemy: Health <25% - Use current condition for next tactic
Enemy: Target rank is Elite or higher - Pinning shot

if there is an Elite present, you will likely be unloading on them with your BRITTLE -> Archer's Lances, your Hexes of Torment, etc. If your BRITTLE -> Archer's Lance doesn't kill them (or they're a Lieut you can't kill outright),Varric drops a Disorienting Shot when their health gets low, which sets Anders up for a huge Walking Bomb, since the Spirit Bolt will very likely kill it.

Right, totally forgot about the DISSORIENT part of Pinning shot. Makes sense now.

what do you think of aveline/varric/anders instead of merril/varric/anders?

I'm on 1.02 and don't intend to update to 1.03

i think aveline is terrible, and the latter is the best party

i will write an aveline build anyways, though, just to give you people some of that 'variety' garbage you seem to love so much.

i switch between DBF and eddie's lucky talisman on hawke, and if i'm wearing eddie's, i give her the dura.

it would be smarter to give merrill the ring of the ferryman, but i can't bring myself to let a companion have something better than what i do (it's this..thing i have, if you haven't noticed). i have the dlc ring on her anyways, along with various +% elemental accs.

no, it was only +30. not a %

Hmm, odd. The wiki had it marked as +30% from the very start (link) , and I'm pretty sure it said +% pre-patch as well. Are you sure that you were reading it right?

how many people are interested in builds for the other characters? they assuredly won't be as good, but i am putting the option on the table for a while.
