Everyone knows the cake is a lie.

But I don't care about that.  Do you have free swags?  Are you giving away a free grab bag that has cool toys and trinkets?  Do you have action figures of your Warrior, Rogue, and Mage builds?

Well, I'm done with DA2 for a while. I'll still be updating the guides and answering questions, but as far as playing and making videos, that's finished for the time being. I won't be too melodramatic (not that serious, etc.), but I want to thank all you guys for watching me be awesome since the game came out, commenting, all that good stuff. I hope you guys had as much fun watching the videos as I did making them.

This is kind of a compilation of all the party setups, tactics, tricks, and what have you, that I've come up with in my time playing as a Mage. Of course, I couldn't just go out to the Barney song, so I used quite possibly one of the most epic (I kind of hate that word) beats of all time.

Anyway, thank you AreleX for the awesome videos and guides.  I can honestly say that you showed me a whole new way to play the game and it's become much more enjoyable because of that. 

I'll probably be done with DA2 once I complete my current mage run.  There are some new games out or coming out that will demand my attention soon, but I still haven't quite gotten DA2 out of my system yet.

You've got pretty much everything else, that's really the only other thing I'd list.

Would you say that Cold Blooded, for the elemental force/blood mage, is the best staff assuming money is decent? (valuable junk mod)

I wouldn't suggest buying it at all. not half way into act 2 you're presented with random staffs that have a higher base damage and dont cost all your gold.  Which can be then used in act 3 for robes of unblemished cleanliness and ring of the ferryman.

It's 109 and some change. The biggest things to make note of for companion gear would be Mage's Friend for Aveline and Bloom/Celebrant/Blade of Mercy for Fenris (check my 2-hander guide for stats/locations), as I'm not sure how you have your other Mages set up.

Im not gonna bother listing staff options as, ah shenanigans, I still need to write my suggestions for staff collection and use.
