I have a battle between NPCs with about 20 on each side.
One side is team 1 and friendly and the other side is team 2 and hostile.
In the beginning at spawn time after I have loaded in to the area they start attacking each other just like I want it.
After some time perhaps team 1 have the advantage killing about 10 or so of the opponents then some of the NPCs in team 1 stops attacking and just stands in one spot doing an animation that looks like a shout/buff all the time unless a hostile NPC hits them.
This looks kinda silly especially if there are 3 hostile NPCs attacking another friendly NPC right next to them.
One time all 15 friendly NPCs except 1 were just standing still while the 2 remaining hostiles were killing that NPC.
=)
Why does this happen and how can I make NPCs either run back to their original positions or join the attack of the remaining NPCs of the other team or hostiles?
Creatures stop attacking eachother after a while

Not really, I have tried to update the creature_core script with the EVENT_DISAPPEAR handling for threat that was in the script. It didn't work. I tried setting light AI and also reducing max number of combatants to 20. No luck. At the beginning they are fighing, but after some time when there are more dead creatures, some of the live ones just freezes in combat mode until all hostile creatures are killed. I am new to modding so maybe I have done something wrong or do not understand enough. All I want to do is to have an ending battle for my module with a large number of NPCs involved. I have used the editor to create and place all NPCs in my area.

Solved thanks! I did something wrong when first updating the EVENT handling. I also now keep below 24 max combatants and use the threat fix from the link for the DISAPPEAR EVENT and that seems to do the trick.
