I love playing it, though the Elcor loyalty mission is a bit too easy.

Pff, you're kidding! I thought the hardest mission was that one for the Volus merchant who was selling stuff on Mars...

I'm a bit lukewarm. Afraid of the "save earth" theme, and afraid there will be too much pew pew...

It's gonna rock from what I've seen so far. I can't wait to see the Reaper x Maw battle. ME3 will be the best game of the year, Skyrim can suck on that.

Bioware has some explaining to do on Cerberus turning on Shepard and it better be a logical one not some pathetic piece of Sh*t one

Based on the information available, pretty good.

I'm not getting my hopes up though. Not after DA2....I'm not saying it was a bad game, it just wasn't all it was made out to be. But I am expecting more from Mass Effect.

It's a totally different team anyways and the development time for Mass Effect 3 is about 6-8 months longer than it was for Dragon Age II.

I know, I was just using DA2 as an example. Basically, Im saying that however awesome it may seem from trailers, advertisements, and sneak peeks, Im reserving judgement until I play it. It LOOKS good, but until I actually play it, thats all it is.

I am excited :D
Although sadly I will be majorly disappointed if Tali isn't a squad member :'[
never though in a million years I would turn into a Tali fanboy after putting the games down for a year or so and then replaying them. Several times.

Meh.
Martin Sheen pretty much eluded to this if you read through/listened to his interviews. No surprise here.

So far, everything I've seen/read has either been "definitely good," "good if done right," and "hey, I'm cool with it." Nothing has raised any "this is a bad idea" flags yet.

In other words: I'm positive about ME3.

Are you talking about immediately after ME2?  Or more recent ones?

Seriously though, Witcher II looks awesome and I'll buy the collector's edition day one but CD Projekt can go to Hell for trashing Bioware.  They should show mutual respect as fellow developers, especially since Bioware never talked trash about them.

TW2 is pre-ordered, ME3 will have to do a lot of convincing before even deciding to buy.

Way too early to tell.

Sure, some of things I've heard sound cool, but I'll reserve judgment until I actually see it in action.

Summed everything up for me. ME2 was the epitome of **** marketing when it was too focused on "Cater to n00bs that want to pick up the game first" and gave the veteran ME fans a sour taste in their mouths (i.e. Virmire Survivor and Wrex, anyone? Garrus could have been given the same treatment because of the "You get a whole new squad" angle), no major emphasis on the data import, etc. At least ME3 made me hyped up for the game instead of the "cautious buy" boat I was on for the past couple years.

There is very little information so far regarding Mass Effect 3 but I think initial impressions are always important.

I remember initial impressions for Dragon Age II were largely negative due to having a pre-determined character and dialogue wheel.  Lots of people saw that as a step back but there is already plenty of discussion bashing Dragon Age II so lets not get into that.

My impressions so far are overwhelmingly positive.  This is practically my dream come true.  The sequel is building upon the gameplay improvements of Mass Effect 2 while also going back to the series' RPG roots.  Really, it's everything a fan of the series could want!

The new art design for many of the enemies looks great and I'm glad that the game picks up right after the events of arrival.

Also I'm glad Cerberus's role in the storyline isn't being reduced despite the plot's emphasis on a Reaper invasion.

Also many of the fears gamers had initially about it being multi-player, it taking place mostly on Earth, squadmates not appearing have been debunked.

Casey Hudson is listening to Bioware fans and I really think Mass Effect 3 is going to be the game of the year assuming it makes it this year.

ttoally agree with all this.

I agree with this even more.

Seriously though, I never had any doubt ME3 would be awesome, the first game was a revelation, the 2nd was even better, and the 3rd would only be better. So far everything confomed or promised has been good in my opinion. The only things Im nervous about are the only thing I've ever been nervous about, will my favorite squadies be back and play a big role, and will there be more exploration and scope to the world.

So far its sounds pretty good actually. Most of it falls under the "depends how it’s done" category because you can't really judge until you see it. Especially in terms of game play. They can say they improved it all they like but until we actually see it those statements really don't mean much. This is just one article. Still overall vibe is positive.

Adding more RPG elements (depending on which ones they mean) and weapon mods sounds great since those were 2 of my biggest beefs with ME2 and they say they have improved the shooting and melee combat as well which is just as important as the rpg elements. Hopefully they will have hit the right balance between RPG and shooter (well what I think is the right balance anyway) I was pissy about the Cerberus attacking you thing for like...a day and half maybe? But that was a knee jerk reaction and I was being a douche. There are certain paths I hope they don’t take with Cerberus just because I think they have more potential than that but even if they do the whole “bwhahaha power trip” thing I won't like it but ME is not going to be RUINED FOREVER for me and we don’t have all the details yet. I still don’t like Ash’s new look but I guess that’s a personal taste thing and as long as they don’t do that to everyone it’s ok.
