Cautiously optimistic. I still have my doubts that it'll be able to deliver the deep personal narrative that Shepard at this point is in dire need of, given the 18 month dev cycle.

Renegades are shafted, as of information we currently know.

Optimistic that this shall not be the case, hopefully both sides have problems.

I kinda agree with everything the OP mentioned, more or less. ME3 is heading the right way, and I don't think I'm gonna get disappointed when playing it ;)

Cautiously optimistic and hoping that all versions of Shepard will be treated fairly (Paragon, Renegade, Pro-Cerberus, Pro-Council, etc. etc.). No one should be shafted due to the moral direction they chose to take.

^Fairly, yes. But also differently wouldn't be bad

I'm fairly optimistic. Like what I've seen and heard of thus far, even if some things makes little to no sense at the moment.

Very excited. Any fears or worries I had about them changing direction for the third game disappeared with the influx of info and now I'm just counting down the days to what I know will be another fantastic game. I'm not even worrying about whether companion X will be in the game or to what degree, I'm confident that the team will give every returning character a satisfying role to play.

Neutral. Looks like a lot of mechanics got changed again and we only know very little about the changes made. WE'lls ee how those turn out. The visuals we've seen so far are stunning, but look like a mix of Crysis, Halo and some Metal Gear. Especially the characters who got a workover look... not exactly how I like it, but then again, who does?

My "biggest fear" is that they will try to "be epic" so hard you feel it is forced again. (Like in ME2, allthough there it also was a result of the mediocore story and final mission. ME3 will hardly have that problem)

Theoretically it can still go eiter way but to me it looks better than ME2 did at this point.

Dont worry, I have a feeling there is going to come a turning point where renegade Shepards get to shine, whether thats eliminating the council, killing an entire species or making them go to wars with eachother, or even helping out TIM later and killing Anderson, we won't get shafted I bet.

-) The most painfull... They stated clearly that ME3 will be more linear than ME2 with even less galaxy navigation/exploration/ freedom...

Did they actually say that? No. Don't think so.

"....We've had the uncharted worlds and Mako staff, planet scanning, and N7 missions; that part of the experience is always important - that nonlinear going out in the galaxy and doing stuff. But we'll change it for ME3."

How this sound for you?

I'll give my views on Mass Effect 3 after reading up on the Elcor Love Interest details we've been promised.

Too little to go on. I still wanna see how they treat squad mates and your previous choices, but I probably won't find that out until I play the game.

So far it looks like ME2++.

CD Projekt can go to Hell for trashing Bioware

Where exactly have they trashed BioWare?

You mean that April Fool's day video in the DA2 forums where CD Projekt says absolutely NOTHING about BioWare?

Or you mean that article where CD Project said TW2's graphics are far better and that TW isn't set in a generic world? That's 100% COMPLETELY true.

And like you said that Square/Enix deserved being trashed by BioWare (rose tinted glasses much?), DA2 completely deserves to be trashed about it's PS2 graphics and Tolkien rip-off setting.

Okay, thanks for that. But it doesn't necessarily mean what you think it does.

they trashed Fable more than Dragon Age... and made fun of themselves as well to a degree, it's just that a lot of western rpg's are so cookie cutter in features that it doesn't take much to make fun of everybody

Everything in the article looked/sounded good so far. Honestly, though, I loved both ME1 and 2, so I really don't see the third changing direction so much that I no longer like it. Plus, it looks like they are putting in more customization for weapons and skills, which is always welcome.

Your rant on Witcher 2 was weird, though, and has nothing to do with ME3. In general, though, I don't feel that game companies should be criticizing one another, even if what they say is "true". It's annoying when phone companies do it, and it seem unprofessional when game companies do it.

My first impressions are very good, much better than I had after first DA2 news, and also better than I had with ME2. With this one I had high expectations, but the first news didn't tell me much.

pretty positive so far, a little worried about some of my favorite squadmates not returning as companions but it's too early to actually be really worried about that. I''ll worry when the game release date is closer about who will be on the team, but so far I like everything I've heard and seen about ME3 :D

At the moment I'm kind of on the fence, a lot of what I've heard about ME3 has got me excited but at the same time soem of the new info has also made me very concerned and worried about the direction ME3 is taking.

I like the looks of the new enemies. Alot of the tweaks to ME2's gameplay sound nice ( a roll, weapons modding, alowing each class to select thier weapons of choice, etc ).

The storyline isn't impressing me however, the whole entire go to earth for a trial thing is annoying me, the Reapers attcking Earth at the beginning of the game is also annoying me, in ME1 we establish the fact that the Reapers area threat to all life in the galaxy and yet in ME2 and ME3 they only seem to be intersted in humans, how anti climatic. On the plus side I do like hearing that Shepard won't just be fighting Reapers and/or Husks, Cerebus getting involved in teh mix is interesting.

I haven't heard enough about ME3's roster of squadmates to form an accurate opinion but so far Garrus is the only charcter on the confirmed list that I give a damn about that I know is coming back, I am beginning to fear for the likes of Miranda, Samara, Grunt, Thane and Kasumi. I know most people say that Miranda will at leats get a cameo but I don't want a cameo.

This. Also I'm worried about this weapon pickups from enemies, I have this image of a COD like ME3

There's a little voice in my head telling me I should be prefacing this with an exception about how I should be cautious until we get more concrete information and how most things will depend on how they're implemented and yadda yadda yadda.

But I'm telling that little voice to kindly shut the **** up, because at this point I couldn't be more psyched for ME3.

Yeah this is my worry, the GI article said something about red herrings encountered along the story. Hopefully this means the narrative shifts from saving Earth to taking out Reapers at other planets/systems.

Seriously don't want "humans are speshul" and "humanity F**k yeah" as the theme for ME3. <_<

Looking forward to see how it all comes together and I hope given the short amount of time that it is complete on release not a bunch of DLC's after the fact. Not too excited about the more "melee" aspect of it but will wait to see, trying to stay optimistic since its one of my favorite series.

I have none. I'll let you know my opinion of the game when I play it, hopefully I'll be very surprised.
