The Sound Design of Mass Effect 3 - Features - www.GameInformer.com

Sounds great. Just pumped the video through my monitors.

What I want to know is: By advancement they mean modding? Will the audio engine recognize where Shep is and then the appropriate effects be triggered (more reverb, delay for large rooms or change in frequency content due to atmosphere or temperature etc)?

"We're still very very much sticking with the original design of the Mass Effect series, and I think the goal is that we're not going to be pushing it even more into that kind of 'dude-bro' angle and we're definitely gonna be sticking to the roots and the core of what it means to be in the Mass Effect universe, making sure we have that sort of retro/futuristic kind of vibe, and keeping the iconic character that people really love about Mass Effect. It means a lot to us, and we're making sure that we uphold what has always been a key part of our franchise."

New assault rifle audio is a huge improvement... I can only imagine what they have in store for sniper rifles. I especially like the audio interacting with the environment... which should add a level of depth to the game's atmosphere. That guy is also reassuring when it comes to ME3's design direction... even if he's only a sound guy. We need to hear from him more often!

I love these videos they put up, especially the Legion one. It's always great to see how they create certain features in their games and the dedication they showcase. I can just imagine the way the sniper is going to sound, I had such goosebumps when I first heard the Widow in ME2, BLAM.

See Bioware does care about the fans and isn't ignorant to what made Mass Effect special. This video was full of win. I love the concpet art of the new weapons and I cant wait to mod them and HEAR the diffenrce.

Just added a clickable link in the OP. I think it's awesome that they're changing the sound of the discharge based on the distance it flies

I never realised how much adrenaline can a simple bass added to a gunshot produce in me.

They cranked up the volume to hype that new ME3 gun, but it does sound good I have to admit. :)

For all we know, that couldn't simply be  base rifle with fancy mods equipped, and might look nothing like the base rifle

^ I'll need to put up a fan (mech) next to my monitor so I have wind blowing in my face while looking at certain someone down my scope. I trembled when I heard that ME3 rifle.

Thanks man. For some reason it wouldn't work for me, and I was all <_< but now I'm ^_^.

I'm really, really interested in hearing the biotics and tech powers. I'm hoping for some extra spice in the awesome sauce that is Charge.

The guns sound better but did anyone else notice the non-ME1 and non-ME2 menu? possibly ME3 menu?

Loving the new sound >< And the effects of environment on sound is a huge improvement in the right direction. I read in GI that you can shoot certain parts of armor off, so I was wondering how the attacks sound now when they hit different materials...Graxwhh!! I really cant wait XD Especially with heavy weapons >> Cain gonna rock in so many more ways now...
