Does anyone know how to enable the developer console for the Impulse digital download version?

probably the same way as for the steam version and the cd version.

edit the DragonAge2Launcher.xml file in the data directory of the game.

find the line:

<condition name="FirstRunCheck" type="FileExist" file="${USERDATA_DIR}\\SystemInformation.xml">

then change the true tag immediately following to:
<true action="execute" file="${BINARIES_DIR}\\DragonAge2.exe" path="${BINARIES_DIR}" autoquit="true" arguments="-enabledeveloperconsole" />

you may also need to change your key binding for the console (if you're like me and the ` key doesn't work the same)

that file is in Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age 2\\Settings\\KeyBindings.ini

For example, I set mine to:

OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_F11

alternatively, if you can't find the launcher config, then you can create a shortcut to the game itself, and add the -enabledeveloperconsole argument yourself

Thanks! I had tried making a shortcut with the added parameter but that did not work.

Editing the launcher file worked for me, and the tilde key did not have to be changed.

 for those that downloaded from gamestop app i found a few things out.

all the methods on the http://dragonage.wik...(Dragon_Age_II) site all work but you need to do all three the .xml file the shortcut and the keybinding.

to get to the .xml its in the C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Electronic Arts (this is also the place to up the additem mod or vaddi mod.

next is bind to the F6 or F11 but remember you will need to put F LOCK!!!!! on (spent 3 hours tring diff things before it hit me)

easy way to get to the c:/ is to use the openfolder option on the gamestop app.
