Pulled ME2 out of retirement to hit up the last DLC but Im getting disc read errors.

loads to the 'press start' screen then when i do it gives me the error and says to clean the disc. easy fix but the disc is pristine, and the same error occurs at the same point when loading disc 2 so its nothing to do with the disc. they arn't dodgy discs because they have logged 100s hours since their purchase and were fine last time i played (shadow broker).

-havnt even installed arrival so there has been no change in the installation (except the 4mb patch)
-did a cache clear, no dice
-all other games work fine

a forum search indicated that messing with disc installation and DLC files doesn't help either
i got the freebie ME2 for pc as well but I want my saves and am not paying for all the DLC again

help >,<

Edit: SOLVED: turns out mucking with files WAS the way to go. I backed up up my saves and wiped all my DLC and re downloaded and problem is solved, therefore one of my DLC corrupting caused the game to tell me my disc was crap.... how ridiculous, if it told me a DLC was busted i could of solved that in minutes. none of these files would of been touched since when i last played. my only theory is blood dragon armor got corrupted when being checked by DA2 somehow? but thats as likely as spontaneously corrupting DLC....  oh well

To firmly eliminate it as a disc issue, have you tried removing the HD and booted up the game to see if it works that way? (Not a solution, but helps to point out one I would like to think.)

I have heard speculation that such things could be an HD issue as well; hopefully it isn't.
