Now, I don't mean questions to further your agenda of "Why the Qunari should have been all GREEN and THE LORE IS WRONG ACCORDING TO ONE CODEX, WRITERS!". Yes. I made up an agenda to avoid insulting anyone. But I mean, okay, seemingly things that PROBABLY won't come up with DAIII that you just would have liked to know. Since we don't know what will be in DLC, well, maybe the question IS something the writers will answer. Still, for me it has to be one of the following:

1) Anders' real name. YES. I know it doesn't -matter-. But since Gaider told us it was just a nickname and I was all :o about it, I've wanted to know. Just because Anders fits him SO WELL that it's hard to imagine him without another name. On the other hand, I'd love to find out his name was like really Horrence (well, no, not really, but it'd explain why he thought Ser Pounce-A-Lot actually was a 'good name'.)

2) What the heck did Fenris hope was in that chest in Bait and Switch?!? I know it's pretty irrelevant and it's likely that it was something to do with his past and he hoped an answer was there. But it seems awfully limited what could be concretely in a chest. And I also know the writers know what was in the chest even if they never plan on revealing it to us. Because it's his introductory quest and he has that trailing "I had hoped..." and that's so obviously a ploy to make us curious about Fenris. So we get curious, learn more about him... but never what he had hoped was in the chest. I'd love to just be told. It may be irrelevant and tiny, but that chest has become Pandora's box now!

So, what about the rest of you? Wondering where Sebastian sleeps normally? Curious about where the heck Sandal's bedroom actually IS since we only see Leandra's and Hawke's? Wondering if Fenris really has that many break ins to constantly have a fresh corpse by his door that was NOT there in the first quest in that mansion so it wasn't that he just didn't clean up, it was that he had apparently killed someone else there during that time.... ? What's your silly question? No judgements in the thread. I figure this way, we can also answer people who have have a question that the writers HAVE answered, because sometimes they get scattered to the wind and only those who happened to catch that thread that day know the answer.

Well this one is more for the artists than the writers, but I really want to know what Fenris' lyrium tattoo design looks like in its, um, entirety.

1. How old is Sten when you first meet him? (approximately)
2. How old is the Arishok? (approximately)
3. Is the current Ariqun male or female?
4. Where's Kal-Sharok located?
5. Does quamek work on kossith even though saar-quamek doesn't?

*shrug* Most of my questions I suspect will eventually be answered--or will be completely tabled in rather a wtf fashion in future expansions.

Is the name of Lirene's shop a play on the fact she's helping refugees and sends you Anders? Or does she really import stuff from Ferelden?

(I love the way she says "hensbane and leeches").

Hah! I totally do too. Apparently, Gaider did want him at least shirtless in that scene after intimacy with Hawke, but the artists whimpered at the idea of drawing the tattoos. So we didn't get shirtless Fenris because they threatened to modify other things to make up for it. If I recall the post right.

I'd love clarification on this dialogue:

Varric: You know, if you need advice on how to lay low I can give you some.
Fenris: Being short would make for an excellent start, I suspect.
Varric: Keep that up, serah, and you can keep on hiding like a rank amateur.
Fenris: What would you suggest, Varric? Cower in the shadows like a rat?
Varric: You could try wearing something that didn’t scream: "I hate you all! I was a slave!"
Fenris: The markings would still show.
Varric: Really? Through anything? That’s... kind of cool.
───────

Does it mean that the lyrium can be seen through clothing? So does... he just not have markings where his clothing is? (It looks like they go underneath though, so was this just something that theoretically, artistically would be there but didn't make the cut?)

My silly questions are usually how old are your companions supposed to be. I wonder with Zevran & Fenris cause if elves age differently than humans they may be older than people would expect. Zevran especially, there's a lot more to him than the surface gloss.

I also want to know Anders real name too.

Mine: Why do Apostate mages wear full robes and carry Staves? Does this disguise ever work for them?

I am also very curious about characters' age too. And i have a suggestion about Anders' real name - i think it's Frederick. Remember his dialogue with Nate in Awakening?

Are there sea monsters?

And if so, can we fight one?

Silly question: We've all seen the...embellishment Varric gave Bethany in the opening. What would Varric's version of Isabela possibly look like?

My questions are horrible...lol.

1. I also want to know what Anders' birth name is...so curious.

2. I was wondering how Thedas views polygamy--as in solid relationships amongst more than two people...not just sex.

3. I wonder about laws and justice and the legal system. Is there a formal one in Fereldan? How is it structured? Who writes laws? Who enforces them? We get glimpses of it and it seems to change depending on where you are. I just want to know more.

4. What's the most frequent cause of death of the average person?

5. What's the gestation cycle of the dwarves? Elves? Qunari?

6. Did the Warden actually walk all over Fereldan or were there invisible horses?

7. What's the most common form of entertainment?

8. Have they developed a printing press?

9. How close are they to steam power?

10. What's the most important crop?

11. What are popular dishes from each culture?

12. What are the most egregious social taboos?

13. What's the age of majority?

14. What's the average age to have a first child/get married/move out of the family home?

15. How do they divide estates upon death when there's no will?

16. Can women own property?

17. Assuming there's a concept of "Transgender" in that world, how do they fair in society?

Heh. I always assumed that Varric just trolled Fenris in that dialogue, pointing at the obvious fact that if Fenris has some clothes on, his marks won't be seen.

1) Have Mabari ever been inducted into the Grey Wardens?

2) What's the average lifespan of a person in Thedas?

3) Exactly how far have the qunari advanced in technology, and are they continuing to do so? Will we ever get to see them breaking out the big guns, so to speak?

I have one burning question: WHAT DO THE FEX LOOK LIKE?

Are they the Thedas equivalent of hobbits or gnomes? Silicon-based lifeforms? Cat people? Talking cabbages? There's a fifth sentient race out there, and we don't even know if they're bipeds or not!

Okay - this really tickled my sense of humour, so:

Erm, sorry I'm off topic...so.  Another question I've always wondered about:

Is Fenris hair black or white naturally?  And is his voice so deep because of the Lyrium around his throat?

Why are there no horses in Ferelden?
Why didn't the mabari die from all the darkspawn blood he ingested during the blight?
Why can't we have sex with dwarves?
Wth is up with Sandal?

They have cannon but throw spears.....

....I'd like this answered too. The Qunari seem very contradictory. They have crazy nerve gas and cannons. But they lack full body armor, throw spears, and have a crude design for their weapons not too far from the Darkspawn designs.

*tries not to die laughing over the Frederick banner and barely succeeds* That is so much love.

I think Fenris's voice is just naturally like that. He IS from Tevinter is the only actual male Tevinter elf we have an example of (that I can remember, anyway?). And occasionally his voice lightens. I get the impression sexy voice is all natural.

Here's another question to the list.

What are the different ruling titles for the countries? We've heard the one for Qunari, such as the Arishok for the military section. Fereldan has the much more common King and Queen. If I recall the codex in game correctly, Sebastian is PRINCE Sebastian Vael because his grandfather (? Could be wrong on ancestor there) was wanted to rule but didn't feel he should be king, so only took the lesser title of Prince. But it's basically the same thing. And Viscount was left over from the Tevinter Imperium in Kirkwall. Orlais has an Empress. Are all the countries so individualistic in their titles or are we going to see another country that goes "Hey, no, we just have a king and queen too"?

Great questions everyone. It's made me think on points that never occurred to me before!

And man, I've never even heard of the Fex. Were they referenced IG besides that interview which I was a total dork and just watched entirel to hear what was said about them? I love the hint of 'rarely seen'... it's totally making me hope we end up with one. Imagine if we ended up with a Qunari AND a Fex. It'd probably be like Legion and Tali all over again. ;) I hope they have a sense of humor since the Qunari don't seem to. I'd love having one that refuses to stay serious. ;)
