 Hey, I'm having a problem with Mass Effect and I can't seem to solve it.  I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit., I'm using the digital copy downloaded via the EA Download Manager.

 All the settings seem to save except for Film Grain, it won't stay off!  As soon as I log out of the game and log back in, I see "saving content" at the main menu and I check and film grain is back on!  Also, after a previous playthrough I logged back in to see all the achievements reset.  I've tried doing a complete reinstall of the game, no go, reinstalled the OS, still the same thing.  It plays fine otherwise, just really irritating cause I don't want the achievements to keep resetting and I don't like the film grain!  I also run the game as Administrator, doesn't help and have UAC turned off.  Has anyone else seen this before?

You should be able to manually edit the my documents/bioware/mass effect/config/biogame.ini file to remove it.
The section and line you are after is;
[BIOC_Base.BioGamerProfile]
m_nDefaultFilmGrain=1;

Set to 0 (zero), and it should be right from there.
