So exactly how many re-used maps were in DA2?

Persephone, one party camp does not carry the same weight as a dungeon/sewer/warehouse/house reused ad infinitum. I do understand that you absolutely love DA 2, but why bash DA:O simply to emphasize that? I

No. Simply stating that both games had their fair share of flaws. Long time overdue too.
Wilderness looks pretty much the same especially at night. Putting that on the same level as having corpses on the floor for years without them being cleaned up or rotting, well that's just not even comparable.
No, it doesn't look the same in each and every part of the country, no does every clearing look the same. (Exact same layout, trees etc.)
As for corpses, couldn't care less.
Nitpicking sure is fun. Be it in DAO or DAII.

Huh huh.
There is nothing nitpicking about non rotting corpses and a static scenery that stays the same over a number of years.

I kept getting lost since I have memory of going to some areas previously. And yes, the stupid blocked off rock door got me confused when I actually walked up to it and saw that it can open, when all others were blocked off.
Reused maps to this degree reminds me of the days of atari when I would play "Adventure". Same rooms, same rooms, just keep track of where you been by making a run through system of sequence.

Like the party camp stays the same everywhere, like Denerim doesn't change AT ALL in over a year (Having the former regent with me made zilch difference in that drab place......and that should be a HUGE impact, given Loggy's fame...not even the Captain of the Guard in Denerim reacted. I could still do Couldry's Steal Loghain's crown quest, WITH Loghain present and his own employee never aknowledged his former master being with me!).....all of this can be applied on DAO just as easily.

And if the whole of DA was confined to Denerim then it may have been as bad as it was in DA2.

Some of them, yes.
I'm through with accepting DAO getting almost worship like lenience and DAII being bashed for things that are generously overlooked in its predecessor because DAO was ah so epic and awzum and a "true" RPG.
Meanwhile, I'll play a true RPG, Might and Magic VI. Which has no decisions. All NPCs look the same & wear the same. Dungeons are lookalikes, companions...er...hirelings have no personality and there are no consequences to anything.
OMG, this classic is NOT a true RPG. A delusion of 13 years has been shattered!

It is a shame though. I LOVE DAO to bits. And I have been a tad harsh towards it lately. But if the DAII bashing has done anything, it has opened my eyes to just how flawed DAO actually is.
Lotsa...
"Hey...the same could be said for this and that in Origins. Never noticed that. Damn!" moments.

Oh please. It's not funny at all. It's like saying....

"Must have been composed by the same dude who composed "Britney Spears", duh!"
I beg your pardon, Michelangelo!

Nothing extreme about it. In DA2 everything is in or around Kirkwall. In DA you have a variety of places to go. Yes DA repeats stuff , but in a far less obvious manner because it's not the only thing to see in the game.
This sums up your argument.

Remember what I said about extremes, Bobby dear?

Do NOT give me the "You'd luff DAII no matter what" nonsense.
And do NOT get personal with me. We are discussing a game, not your mind reading abilities.
