Title Update 1.01 included over 100 fixes but we're already hard at work on the next one. If you're still experiencing any major issues after installing Title Update 1.01, please provide further information in this thread. That will help us plan and prioritize for the future.

Be aware that knowledge of an issue doesn't inherently mean that it will be fixed in the next patch. We still need to prioritize the issues list, reproduce the issue internally, and finally identify and implement a suitable fix. Not all bugs survive this process but we'll do what we can. The sooner we're tracking the issue, however, the sooner we can
begin that process.

This post will serve as a summary of all posts in this thread which I will (hopefully) be able to keep up to date indefinitely.

Last time, there were lots of 'does Bioware know X? it isn't on the major issues list!' threads and posts so I'm going to try to list every single issue that gets raised here in an effort to alleviate this feeling and show that, as I kept saying, we are aware of everything that gets brought up on BSN.

--------------

Current issues, post 1.01:

General Issues

- Import Issues (Awakenings; re: Approval levels)
- Import issue with Zevran, Alistair and Morrigan (all)
- Olaf's Armory - Chest is invisible. Can still be interacted with, you just can't see it. (Act 3)
Companion Issues

- Carver goes from Grey Warden to Templar in act 3 during Best Served Cold hostage scene
- Isabela doesn't switch to her alternate outfit after the romance scene (requires using makers sigh to fix currently)
- Companions lose upgrades when they switch outfits
- Fenris' Dog conversation (Black Emporium) is not firing
- Merrill's 'Mourning' quest at the beginning of Act 2 is auto-completing. This quest is not supposed to be in the game so for now just disregard the message about it. (it does not affect your game at all)
- Varric's 'Friendly Concern' conversation trees are not firing for any LI except Anders currently
- Sebastian Vael - Despite having friendship maxed, his companion power does not show as active on his Abilities page (the bonus is working, however)
- Anders' rivalry dialog doesn't trigger (friendship instead) during endgame after the 'chantry part'
- Anders' Tevinter chantry amulet turn-in does not give the appropriate reputation modifier when in a rivalry
Quest Issues

- 'Who Needs Rescuing' quest still broken
- 'Sketchy on the Details' doesn't clear from the journal upon completion
- During 'Demands of the Qun' Aveline's guards are aggressive if you go to the docks at night
Combat Issues

- Varric's Disorienting Shot doesn't disorient (for more than a split-second)
- Modal abilities that should be exclusive are stacking if you toggle two of them on quickly
- Hawke can become immune to Injury occassionally
- Magic Resist is affecting Haste (causing the duration to be shorter, essentially resisting your own buff)
- Issues with Gravitic Ring under certain circumstances
Playstation 3 Only Issues

Current issues that require new playthroughs (or older saves) in 1.01

- Slo-mo hawke (as well as other stat modifiers) are not retroactively fixed. The problem will not reoccur or get worse but whatever value you currently have will be stuck with you for now.
- Aveline's 4th upgrade (Favor and Fault) will not appear if you've already entered the area once in Act 3 before applying the patch

I still have problem with the EPIC trophy , I dont have an important DA:O save. I just loaded my second playthru pre-last boss save, finished the game again. Didnt' earn me the epic trophy as well. I am guessing the trophy bug is still there ?

This bug is stopping me from playing the game as I refuse to restart after 35+ hours of playing. So it was going to get my vote for top priority for the next patch.

However, the statement "there are many helpful threads about editting the save to manually fix the issue in the mean time" gives me some hope. But is this really true for PS3? If so, please point me in the direction of the instructions because I did a quick search of these forums did not find anything.

Yeah if there is a helpful thread showing how to fix the slow-mo for PS3 by all means please point me in the direction of that too, because this is ridiculous.

Sorry, that should have been editted out as it was only applicable for xbox and pc/mac currently. There is a retro-active fix for the Isabela (and other issues) in the works but you won't see it until the next title update.

As for the trophies, we're looking in to Epic and Supplier not working for some people.

I think most people ( 99% of them ) that did not import DA:O save is unable to obtain the Epic trophy no matter how many times they beat the game, under any setting. Pretty sure that it works if you beat the game with an imported save.

We've seen some data coming in indicating that some users have received the Epic award without importing but as far as I can tell it's not a very good percentage. As I said, we're looking in to this as well as the supplier achievement to see what is causing the breakage for the affected users.

Hi -

I am really suffering from the Hawke slo-mo issue. I am 58 hours into the game, and since I save *very* frequently, I am not finding a suitable older game without the slo-mo issue. I will stop playing until the next retro-fix arrives for this particular issue. Thanks for taking the time to fix these and other issues.

Also - If Bioware has any predictions for when 1.02 will be out - and if the retro-fix for the slow-mo issue is in that, then that would be great!

Personally, until the Awakening import issues are fixed, the game remains unplayable to me. Retroactive fix for slow-mo is nice, but I'm assuming I'm going to have to start over anyway to fix the import bugs, so I would say the import bug is the priority (unless there's a way to fix how those plot flags are recognized retroactively--that would be hot.)

I'll also throw out that a game save editor would be really great, especially given all the bugs that require restart.

The Awakening flags are STILL not firing properly in DAII?

UGH. Kinda wish I hadn't played for 8 hours last night! Back on the shelf with you.

IF/WHEN the Awakening fixes happen, will I be able to continue from a relatively new file from (hopefully) before any of these plot bugs show up, or am I going to have to start fresh and re-import an Awakening save file?

It appears that I'm still getting hit with freezes. I was running around The Hanged Man, 30-40min of play after patching 1.01, I entered the place, ran up the steps turned left and boom. Froze. I'm near done with this game. All these system resets can't be good for my system. Sadly, I feel I'm at the point now that I won't be buying at launch or pre-order any new DA content until the product quality of BioWare (and to a less extent EA) is drastically improved. I really enjoy the DA world, I like the game -when it works- but I can't be screwing up my system over it and dropping $60+ for shelf decoration.

1.02 needs to continue cracking on this freeze issue. As patch 1.02 will be the last straw to fix the way this game runs, if not, I wash my hands completely.

For future, DA 3 or the expansion pack that you may be planning absolutely NEEDS to be tested out the ass before launching. As it stands, someone needs to run down to the test department/QA and hand out pink slips like its a ticker-tape parade, for obvious reasons.

Quote me on it. I will wait YEARS for Dragon Age III if that's what it takes to get a polished product free of debilitating bugs and glitches.

The Truth.

Gah, the Epic trophy still isn't working for saves without an import? I've been waiting weeks for this update JUST for that. It's the only trophy I have left to get other than the platinum. Please try and fix it as soon as possible. The trophy description should do as it says. I got the other trophies at least a month ago. It's not very fair. =/

My #1 issue is the non-retroactive companion buff fix. I see you're working on it, which is greatly appreciated; I would be more than satisfied if this fix alone was sent to cert all by itself ASAP, but I find that unlikely. At least for me, I'd rather have the game update every day fixing something than wait a full month for multiple fixes all at once. So sending something to cert on even a daily basis wouldn't bother me one bit lol. Of course, then you'd have patch version 1.99 out in no time lol.

Ok, then this is definitely my top priority issue to get fixed. In fact, if it doesn't get fixed soon, DA2 will go down in my history as the first game ever bought but not finished and the first pice of software I've ever attempted to get a full refund for because it is so broken it's unusuable.

Installed 1.01 patch, tried to resume previous save, frozen at loading screen. Started new game, made it to the transport to Kirkwall scene, frozen on loading screen. Time for a refund Bioware.
