I thought this bug was over. Most of my custom content works fine.
But I was having some problems with custom packages for classes during PC creation (packages.2da and related) and also many of my players (including me) could not see the tips when loading areas (nwn2_tips.2da).
Doing some tests I discovered that NWN2 is not reading my custom packages.2da from the haks during PC creation. But it shows the correct data if I put the 2da file in te override folder of the client.
My server is supposed to turn off any content the client has in override and in UI.
But now I find that I need all my players to have this file in their override folder.
Anyone had this same problem? Any solution? (besides having all my players download a file and putting it into their override)
Thanks.
2da files still not working from haks (packages.2da)

I think this is an issue with character creation, rather than haks specifically. Basically, it only loads certain data *after* character creation, so overriding packages and things via haks won't work. Those more experienced with MP and PWs and things will be able to tell you more, but I think you might have to put the files in the override folder as well or something (of course that might give you issues if your server is ignoring that).
EDIT: Oh, I see you've thought of that solution. Unfortunately I don't know of another one, short of an external character creator (and I don't know if any even exist).

Hi Arvirago,
Nice to see you around
In Griffin Island we are not using custom packages, but we do disable them with packages.2da in character creation so I guess it is read somehow. Could it be that NWN2 don't load brand new custom packages? Can you try to reuse one of the predefined ones and see if it works?

Hi, thanks for the answers.
Maybe I can avoid the use of packages, using the script of newly created PCs for giving initial items, feats and so.
But it's a pity because I needed different types of sorcerers to pick different spells, and clerics to pick correct domains, etc.
How did you disabled packages? just padding the whole 2da file?
