I'd suggest dual daggers, and go 50/50 dexterity/cunning. Other people may suggest more dex, less cun, or less dex and more cun, but it's all up to preference.
Before you consider raising strength for stat requirement on gear reasons, remember that you'll get +4 strength from the fade during Broken Circle, and you can get up to 20 with accessories, like Andruil's Blessing, Harvest Festival Ring and Ring of the Warrior. If you want a str/dex build for a stealthy warrior type build, then of course you'd want more than 20 strength, but that is the requirement for the best light armor.
You can also find gear to buff constitution, willpower and etc., if you find your health/stamina lacking too much.

I would think longsword/dagger would be better then two daggers, especially if you want to use good armour too (the one from leli's song is awesome).
And a longsword can do hefty damage on backstabs.

Longsword/dagger isn't better. Whether you would think it is or not. Arthur hit the nail on the head though.
As can a dagger, and its faster...
