Should they introduce new LIs in ME3?

No. Waste of time. We already have nine other romances. That's enough.

Well that doesn't mean Bioware shouldn't add them. Adding more romances just gives the game a fresh perspective. If you don't want more LIs, just do not romance new LIs and personally stick with the ones from ME1 and ME2.

I agree, but it totally doesn't work that way. ME3 has to have that kind of "fresh game" feeling to it, as it will be a completely new game, not DLC or an expansion back. Basically it has to be done in a way such that anyone can join the party and play it, regardless of whether they've played the previous chapter(s). Of course, adding new love interests count into that.

Part of me thinks it might be possible to actually start a romance with the VS in ME3 if you never romanced them in ME1, making them a potential love interest without the necessity of creating a new one from scratch. Let's say you have the VS as a love interest, with James Sanders and an additional female companion. That's three new love interests for you.

But... Gillian is retarded.

Autistic.  Nonetheless, not emotionally/socially mature enough for a relationship.

Anyway, yeah, new LIs for my virgin!Sheps, please.  Big Ben?  FemTurian?  Yes?

I still don't understand the facination with the Big Ben Sniper...

Anyway, if they chose to go that way (and I'm almost sure they will after seing Gillian wear another one of these skintight Jumpsuits on the cover art for the next novel) I bet that Bioware will make sure she'll be perfectly suitable as LI in the next Novel. There'l be some nice reasoning about how much the time in isolation with Hendel and the Quarians helped her and in the game she will be the paragon version of Jack.

I think some new romances, but of already introduced characters would be good, as in mordin, joker, proper samara one, and I think there was kind of a hint in ME2 that shiala might be a potential LI, but I'd rather have all of the LIs from previous games being LIs in ME3 as opposed to only some of them and some new ones, but after they're done all the previous ones, if there's still room, why not?

Inevitably they will, only to please the shameful newcomers. Really, if you have't the sligthtest idea who Shepard is or what is a Reaper, you should get lynched.

LI's from ME1 and ME2 being romancable even if you didn't romance them in the other games is a good idea.

Wouldn't mind a new LI for both genders but that's it really, a bit similar to the squadmate situation I don't want BioWare thrusting us with new characters in favor of old ones simply because "character X might be unavailable because of scenarios A and B" in one of the other games.

As for making a game for newcomers and it's part three of a trilogy seems strange, it's like someone at BW saying "oh so you didn't want to play the other ME games, that's ok we're gonna make our final game where stuff from those silly other games doesn't matter, everyone's happy right?"

Hoping they don't go overboard with this idea.

Then you don't know how these forums work. Bioware will anounce a character or one will pop up in the background of a screenshot and next thing you know theres a whole bunch of people looking to "romance" it.

If Bioware anounced a lampost as squadmate for ME3 there would be a bunch of people campaigning for it to be shaggable.

Kinda much this. We have people hoping to get under Giannas and Shialas skin. Check out the fanbase for those two.

And the concern for LI's in ME3, yeah I think they'll be there. A reason for players that haven't played the previous games

This.

I hate when they give the newcomers something as compensation because they're too lazy to invest time in the other games like most of us have.

She's also about 15-16, i'm not sure Bioware should go there, but you know if she's in the game/squadmate there is going to be people demand shes a LI

Had no idea that she was so young and also autistic (I never read the ME books), so just forget what I said.

I would still welcome Solana though (unless she's a teen too lol).
