My situation is pretty dire.
At the end of Act 1, Bartrand asks if I'm ready to embark, to which I respond yes. At the end of the sequence where the mother intervenes and Bartrand states you can't bring everyone along, instead of prompting what I've been told is the party select screen, I am returned to the environment to run around, only able to speak to Bartrand and initiate the same cutscene again.
I've made numerous attempts at work arounds, swapping in different party members and choosing different dialogue options etc, but none work.
I've poured about 25 ish hours into Act 1 alone, completing every quest possible, and now it appears as though all of that may have been for nothing as I can't travel to the climax of the act. To be prevented from continuing with a character I've invested so much time in by a simple failure of a character selection prompt is a gut-wrenching prospect indeed.
What do I do?
Cannot progress past Act 1- Unable to travel to the Deep Roads.

For now I would suggest erasing the Latest Patch, making your selection, then re apply the patch after saving your progress, as I know BW are trying to work on another patch right now ......

Ah, the assurance that BW have another patch in the works is somewhat comforting, thanks
Edit: Tried deleting the patch and attempting offline, same results unfortunately

Deleting the patch will do nothing, as this was an issue at Launch(my first char experienced this).
This bug has actually been posted several times, and a Dev has yet to respond to acknowledge it's existance even, let alone say they would be working on it. At this point, I'd think it's safe to say they do not care, as it does not affect every character and you can start over.
Safest bet is to start over.
